so i'm about to buy the dvd, and i decide to check the quality before doing so. i notice that throughout the movie, the picture seems to stick/freezes for a split second and continues...

is this what spike meant by:
Quote:
Everytime the camera pans the picture blurs.
?

is this commonplace in all Yuva dvds or is this a pirate?

I was talking about smearing of the image when there is motion on screen.

The freezing of the image sounds like what I experienced with Main Hoon Na dvd. I think the net effect 'original' dvd had chapter stops. If your dvd doesn't have chapter stops it is probably a pirate copy.

Prices for blank media are around £7-8 - but I get them for free.

Also got feedback from Madras Talkies...they are not impressed with Net Effect version.

Ayngaran also want to release a bare bones edition at the mo with DTS and Dolby. I am doing my best to get them to at least include a commentary...or to use the original Hi-Def Tapes the film was graded on

You guys can e-mail Ayngaran at: mailto:sales@ayngaran.com

and ask for the same...

Any chance Ayngaran will be doing more commentaries? I would have liked to hear one for Autograph. How was the Kaaka Kaaka track recorded? Did Prasad record and edit it or did they do that in the UK?

Ayngaran are mixed about commentaries...Kaaka Kaaka was only done at the persitance of consumers e-mailing them.

We need to do the same for this Mani Ratnam one.

The commentary was recorded and edited at the Prasad.

----------------------------------

If the release date is July 31, 2004, then are the screen shots, posted a month ahead, on page 1 from genuine DVD??
Postted screen caps show no sign of Extras.

DVD claims to be:
Digitally mastered from the original film
NTSC format all region DVD

Could it still be field averaged??
Film to PAL and then PAL to NTSC??
