I brought the Shemaroo version... Wish I had waited for the BEI release... In my opinion, Umesh Mehra's SOHNI MAHIWAL is not that good, compared to other Love Legends like HEER RANJHA (Raaj Kumar) and Laila Majnu (Rishi Kapoor)... Wish BEI would release HEER RANJHA too, then we will have all 3 in the best possible prints....

don't wish too hard it's all in vain, this one is the exact transfer from shemaroo no different :lol: :lol: wait for monizam to send you the 2 in 1 :lol:

Appears not to be the case, Dragun...

Before Sohni Mahiwal in 1984, there was EK JAAN HAIN HUM (1983) and POONAM (1981). As far as I know, POONAM is his first film, but I am not sure.... :)

Too bad Anu Malik lifted the good tunes in Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee from Pakistani sources a la Nadeem Shravan. For a quality 'original' Anu Malik work, I'd look at Refugee, Asoka, Radha Ka Sangam, Soldier (had it's moments)....

Do you know the name of the Pakistani film from which the PTKYA songs were plagarised from. Just I would like to listen to the orginal, if its still available on CD/audio?
