By the way, I saw Vol. 2 last weekend, and it has to be my favourite Quentin Tarantino film to date.
For those you you familier with Japanese action cinema and some of their characters you may have worked out the following.
*possible SPOILERS*
-The bride and her daughter are a reference to "Lone wolf and cub"
-Ellie Driver has lost both her eyes and she may return in the next one as a 'female' "Zatoichi" - the blind swordsman.
- Nikki could be made into a "lady snowblood" type of character - based on a Japanese woman seeking bloody revenge.
Unfortunately as Sofie Fatale lost both her arms so she can't return as a 'female' - one armed swordsman (a charater from HK films).
Did you realise the Hatori Hanzo sword Buzz 'pawned' could a ref to the same sword Butch pics up in the pawn shop in Pulp Fiction? Obviously not a HH tough!
It would be great if Tarantino did a spagetti western. He'd do justice to it.
I'd still say my fav is Pulp Fiction. Alot of people dissed the 2nd Vol just because there's less violence and more dialogue...some people are stupid!
I hear they may do an 'Anime' prequel to Kill Bill showing the story of the deadly viper assassin squad and how they broke up.
