Spectacular launch of 'Dus'

Years ago, Nitin Manmohan had started DUS with Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan in lead roles. However, the project came to a grinding halt when director Mukul S. Anand expired. Nitin did release the audio tracks of the film, but the film remained incomplete since every director Nitin approached then felt that he wouldn't be able to do complete justice to Mukul's vision.

Years later, Nitin is paying a tribute to his friend, the late Mukul S. Anand, with his new film, which stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and Zayed Khan in principal roles. Titled DUS, this project will be directed by Anubhav Sinha. Nitin Manmohan and Sohail Maklai are the joint producers of the film.

Now only the title remains the same - the story is entirely different!

While the makers had finalized Shilpa Shetty and Esha Deol initially, two more leading ladies have been finalized - Raima Sen and Akanksha. Also finalized are Gulshan Grover and Pankaj Kapur.

DUS will also mark the Indian debut of noted Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh, who will essay one of the pivotal roles in DUS.

DUS will have a spectacular launch on Saturday, May 15 in Pune. Starting with a small function at E Square [Nitin Manmohan's plush multiplex in Pune] in the afternoon, an extravagant event has been planned for the evening. The proceedings will begin with a grand fashion show, followed by a live performance by noted musician Sivamani. The mahurat of the film will be held thereafter.

DUS will be shot in a 15-day schedule in Mumbai, followed by a marathon schedule in Canada. Choreographers, action directors and special effects' team from Hollywood will work on this project. Kaleem Khan is the executive producer. Balaji Entertainment International P. Ltd. presents the film.
