I had hoped the Pyramid group had died out, and slowly all their catalog titles would be re-released by Ayngaran (like Minsara Kanavu). However, all my hopes were dashed recently as I saw Kamal Haasan's Guna released on DVD by this infamous firm. They have even re-issued Nayakan with a new cover and English subtitles...

On another note, a few good movies, notable among them Kamal Haasan's "Mahanadi", has been released by a new company called Prince's Music. Anybody seen any of these/heard of this company? Is this another pirate out to cheat the Indian customers?

Pyramid are the worse Indian DVD company out there! I do know that there compnay is slowly dropping down in sales, due to HMV/SAREGAMA buying them out in thier music department.

While Ayngaran are set to have a monoploy around the world (excluding India/Sri Lanka) on distributing new Tamil films. Pyramid are left with a libaray of old films whose film rights have already begun to expire. All of the big and classic films Ayngaran are buying. It is quite similar to what EROS did back in the late 80's. Just hope Ayngaran don't become another EROS INTERNATIONAL oh sorry its now called EROS MULTIMEDIA - high chances that they changed thier name for tax reasons

Prince music sounds iffy to me. Mostly likely to be a pirate compnay.

I haven't seen minnale yet. How exactly is the film better if RHTDM is a remake?
