Several members have mentioned BEI is prepared to replace faulty DEI titles. As nearly all my DEI titles have severe manufacturing defect, I would be grateful if member(s) could give the following information:

1. Contact Person
2. Email Address
3. Website Address
4. Telephone Number
5. Postal Address

Thanks for you assistance, and keep praising DEI :) (LOL)

i wont say (nearly all), but some DVDs that i have since the replicating disc started rotating around. i have nearly a dozen of DEI DVDs are not working :( surprisingly the few replicated eros-dei DVDs that i have works better than any DVDs that i've come across.

i am also looking for any info regards to replacing my dei dvds. dei print is worth praising armaan miyan. but not those dvd disc that self destruct that they use or used.

Monizam - It seems from your signature you have spoken to representatives of BEI with regard to their self-destructing DVDs. Who did you speak to?

I have emailed the above email address and awaiting response. Does anyone know, if the offer to replace DEI's Self-Destructing DVDs applies to customers worldwide, or only those in USA?

I have scanned all my DEI titles through DVD Shrink (its a software recommended by UL on this site which analysise the whole DVD), and the following DVDs have come up with error messages and froze half way:

Pukar (Amitabh Bachchan)
Nastik (Amitabh Bachchan)
Sharmilee (Shashi Kapoor)
Mere Apne (Meena Kumari)
Justice Choudhury (Jeetendra)
Aandhi (Sanjeev Kumar)
Gunga Jumna (Dilip Kumar)

Note I have only checked DEI Brand DVDs and not the new BEI versions.

I hope this helps. I am very disheartened that members are trying to scrounge every DEI titles that ever existed, whilst I want to get rid of mine...

:)

Did you by any chance have Umrao Jaan.I have a frozen one. Did you send just the disc back or the disc plus the entire case.[/quote]

I sent Disc+entire case. The name of the nice lady is Ms Jaspreet. Since its a retail store, so they dont sell the dvds individually but in a lot. The discs i sent them for replacement were
Golmaal, Nastik and Adalat
I received Golmaal and Nastik (both Bei), Golmaal was a good copy. I am waiting for Adalat, which they dont have right now in the stock and will send them when available. Indiaweekly is there official seller of dvds :) .

do they reply to e-mails, or is it better to call them? I e-mailed yesterday, but haven't got a reply yet.

No reply by email for me either, and I wonder whether they well ship to UK in any case.

The culprit who sold me all those Self Destructing DEIs (India Weekly) also wont reply to my emails!

Okay! Here is how it works! There are no formal return slips to be filled out neither do you need pre-approval for returns! Just ship the bad DVDs with an explanation of the problem. It will be helpful if you enclosed a self-address envelope or packaging and since they are nice enough you probably can have it pre-paid! Again remember to keep your inserts, the ones I have exchanged so far did not come with the inserts!

Spoke to a guy at BEI (not Jaspreet). He was too polite and friendly to be true! I thought all Indian DVD companies like abusing their customers....

:)

Anyway the story is that they will replace all DEI and BEI titles, no matter how significant or insignificant the defect is, not matter when or where the DVD was purchased. Sounds to good to be true, so I'll save the final compliments when/if I get the replacements.

He said covers/boxes need not be returned (only the discs), although I got the impression their replacements will include the covers, but its not an issue...

If I get working replacements, I will become a FAN of BEI too, like everyone here.....

:)
