Sorry to take u guys out of Munnabhai, but is CULCATTA MAIL a remake from any hollywood movie??

CALCUTTA MAIL is an excellent film, and Anil Kapoor is superb.

Hey there Kuttappan, here is your answer:

Calcutta Mail is apparently inspired by the Telugu film, Choodalani Vundi, starring Chiranjeevi and Anjala Zhaveri. There are also some shades of the Mel Gibson starrer Ransom in the second half.

It has been discussed here. You can carry on this conversation there if you wish

Hope it helps :)

The entire movie depends on Munnabhai being believable, and Sanjay Dutt pulls it off. The comedy parts are funny and the dramatic scenes hold their weight in the story. Scenes that could have been maudlin were done well.

Anyone notice that part of the background score had the tune of the song Sonali Kulkarni sings to Altaf in Mission Kashmir?

Never noticed but wouldnt surprise me since both films belong to VVC. Directors often use the tune from their older movies in their recent movies.

I was on Holidays when MBBS shots were posted. Looks like a mention of it's encoding type (whether Prog, Pseudo-Prog or Field Averaged) took a holiday too?? :D

Anyway, back to work.
Is it Pseudo-prog??

Thanks.
