Nope I didn't get it, send it again.

Bloody hell! Is Mallika topless in that pic?
Even if she is I doubt they would show that in the film and that is just a promo pic, to lure audiences. I don't know if that scene was in India, but I don't think there are topless beaches in India, then shouldn't she be arrested?

****Cinematography by Fuwad Khan, who has brought the Bangkok skyline alive and spot-on editing by Akiv Ali add to the technical gloss of the film. Another plus point is the foot-tapping score by composer Anu Malik. All-in-all, while Murder isn’t your routine family film, it does have some engrossing moments and is definitely worth a dekko

BTW! I never knew MUMBAI could look so BEAUTIFUL, before I saw SAAYA!

REVIEW | MURDER

Glimpses of an unfaithful marriage

Devesh Sharma

Cast and Credits

Producer
Mukesh Bhatt
Director
Anurag Bose
Music
Anu Malik
Cast
Emraan Hashmi, Ashmit Patel, Mallika Sherawat

nfedility doesn’t pay — that’s the message of director Bose’s homage to Adrian Lyne’s Unfaithful (2002). While Lyne’s labour of love depicted an uptown Manhattan housewife finding illicit love at downtown Soho, Bose shifts the action to Bangkok. And while Diane Lane’s character in that film got seduced by a complete stranger, Simran (Mallika Sherawat) is shown to fall for an old flame, Sunny (Emraan Hashmi). To Indianise the plot further, she is shown to be married to her own jija, Sudhir (Ashmit Patel) and is the surrogate mother of her nephew. Sudhir is shown to be a meanie at both work and home. The shadow of his late wife also seems to haunt him and so the director cleverly shifts some of the blame on the husband’s shoulders. Surprisingly belying the promos, which marketed Murder as softporn, the lead players have utilised every ounce of their acting talents to turn-out symphatetic portrayals.

Shedding the awkwardness of her debut film Khwaish, Mallika Sherawat plays the wayward wife with maturity. Her teary breakdown on the train after returning from her first liaison, her burst of anger with her lover after discovering his true self and her easy camaraderie with her sister’s child — all point to the fact that in the hands of a competent director she has the power to go beyond her limitations. Another person who has outreached his limitations is Ashmit Patel. Shrugging-off the wooden mantle that he had worn in Inteha, he gives a restrained performance as the cuckold husband who is still very much in love with his wife. Emraan Hashmi too has lived-up to the promise that he had shown in Foothpath and gives another testerone-filled performance as the smiling rake.

Cinematography by Fuwad Khan, who has brought the Bangkok skyline alive and spot-on editing by Akiv Ali add to the technical gloss of the film. Another plus point is the foot-tapping score by composer Anu Malik. All-in-all, while Murder isn’t your routine family film, it does have some engrossing moments and is definitely worth a dekko.

Khakee is holding on its own.
BTW, Boxofficeindia still shows it as 'AVERAGE' after 11 weeks, where as by their own numbers and rules, it has crosseed over to 'ABOVE AVERAGE' (same as their KHNH status). Khakee is still doing fine, collections steady around Rs 9 lakh weekly.
