Kal Ho Naa Ho has another universal reason to celebrate. First the script of the movie entered the Oscar library and now it has won the Prix du Public Award for best film at the Valenciennes film festival in France on Sunday.

The audiences loved everything in the film including the sublime emotions, song-and-dance formula and Shahrukh Khan. Kal Ho Naa Ho will now be distributed in France and Germany market.

CAN WE EXPECT ANOTHER GREAT DVD, like Devdas, FROM FRENCH??

What I meant was that as KHNH is being released theatrically in France (and Germany as well), like Devdas, Diaphana or some other good company may release KHNH DVD for the French/ German market.

Are Maqbool and Pinjar being released theatrically in France?? If so, they too might be up for a French market DVD release.

i think yrf will take it out on dvd there since they did take out the dtph dvd with a french track

OMG i cant believe this..i emailed diaphana a long time ago..and i didnt get a reply..and now after a long time i did..and after doing a little bit of translating..diaphana have decided they will release kal ho na ho!! only with no features..but its going to be a few months away...approx 2-3 months they sed!!

but still...progress!! :wink:

Vow. Great news even if half true.
I'm glad I didn't buy KHNH so far. I'm willing to wait (6 months or whatever). Normally, in the west, DVDs are released a few months after the film's theatrical run has ended.

Actually, it's not that bad. My actual bill for 2 Diaphana Devdas came to $ 88 Cdn, i.e. $ 44 Cdn each including taxes ($ 33 US). $ 44 Cdn is not bad as compared to YRF prices anyway.

By the time (if) Diaphana KHNH releases, we would have found out, where and how to get Diaphana DVDs cheaper.

Moreover, I'm encouraged by mhafner comments on Diaphana Devdas to be as good as HD

Well, vmajic, I wont like to go through pain, once more trying to buy that film for $33...HUH!!!

Once for watching through, once for seeing CRAP dvd, and now spending $33..KHNH is no DEVDAS!

it's no Devdas, but I'd rather pay for a good DVD than to pay for admissions at theater for this craptacular excuse for a movie :p

btw, its somewhat of an entertaining movie, but i hate how it is overrated by the audiences. :roll:

I liked Pinjar! worth the admissions, and worth a decent dvd. it wasn't a great movie, but it was a good effort non the less!
