Best Supporting Actress: Jaya Bachchan For K3G

This is the most outrageous award of the year.
Disgusting. A perfect example of the levels that the Filmfare Awards have sunk to.

The other thing I fail to understand is the category of 'Critics Awards'. On the face of it one would think that it is a set of categories designed to honor the actual good work for the year irrespective of popularity since the general Filmfare Awards are 'popular awards'. Therefore should it not be that once in a while that someone should win the Regular awards as well as the Critics Award? Guess not with Filmfare, since it has not happened yet and also if it were so Lagaan would probably have gotten the critics award to. It is very obvious that the Filmfare critics awards are just used as a consolation award or to satisfy more people at the same time. To make matters worse they then have a few special awards to compensate a few more who miss out on the other awards. What a joke, it seems the idea is to make happy as many people from the industry as possible rather than to trully honor the best work of the year.

Special Award to Amisha and Raveena because they should have actually gotten the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards.

R.D. Burman Award - Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy (Dil Chahta Hai)
Best Choreography - Farah Khan (Dil Chahta Hai)
Best Debut - Bipasha Basu & Tusshar <--- SIC!

What were they thinking?!! What about Gracy Singh? Why didn't she win anything? Actually I am glad, I was afraid K3G would sweep everything, thank god.

Actually this was one year I was quite sure we would be spared the repeat of 2000 wherein Mahabbatein swept all the major awards. The reason being that Filmfare would have really had a tough time having to explain overlooking Lagaan to award K3G, considering Lagaan's critical and commercial success, and now specially with it's recent Academy Award Nomination. I can clearly see the headlines if that were to have happened 'The Academy's best is not good enough for Filmfare". But the 2 Awards to K3G specially the one to Jaya Bachalan is an atrocity in itself.

Even those two awards for K3G could have been given to DCH or Lagaan. I mean none of the guys from Lagaan won, they were even better than Amitabh in Aks. About time also they gave Preity Zinta for DCH.

Overall, i think they had stayed right but I do differ on some drastically!!here is my take!Still looks like favoring kkkg lobby and AB family in a way!!IMHO
***If lagaan wont go to oscars..things would be different I bet!

Best Film: Lagaan ...Agree.
no doubt
Best Director: Ashutosh Gowariker For Lagaan ...agree.

Critics Choice Best Film: Dil Chahta Hai ...agree.

Best Actor: Aamir Khan For Lagaan ...agree

Best Actress: Kajol For K3G ...disgaree...here we had tabu, amisha, karishma..i think it is favoring K3G group!!
Critics Choice Best Actor: Amitabh Bachchan For Aks ..I can tolerate that..ok!

Critics Choice Best Actress: Karisma Kapoor For Zubeidaa..I agree, but if u could fit her as best actress then TABU will stand chance here!! kajol could be consoled with popular award category like DCH!IMO

Best Supporting Actor: Akshay Khanna For Dil Chahta Hai ..chale ga!!Agree

Best Supporting Actress: Jaya Bachchan For K3G ..Totally disagree..IMO..strong!!! Rekha/Madhuri were much stronger contestants..K3g group favortism!!you cry in the hole film and bag award..na baba na!! not fare! I did agree last yr her baging for FIZA..undoubtedly!!

Best Performance In a Comic Role: Saif Ali Khan For Dil Chahta Hai ..fine..agree

Best Villainous Role: Akshay Kumar For Ajnabee ..disagree, this is UNFAIR to URMILA for PTKK , and evil BAJPAII, for AKS!!

Best Music Director: A.R. Rahman For Lagaan ..agree.

Best Lyrics: Javed Akhtar For Lagaan "Mitwa" ..agree.

Best Male Playback Singer: Udit Narayan For Lagaan "Mitwa" ..agree

Best Female Playback Singer: Alka Yagnik For Lagaan..agree .

best choregraphy..i thought would have been mitwa , or koi kahe..dch!

:sneaky: :stupid: :sly:   :

Just saw the Filmfare Awards on video. And the whole show was very unprofessional, very unorganized. Highly lame jokes make by the low-live hosts. And what the hell was Faroz Khan talking about up on stage? his new look made him look like an idiot, like father like son, he too sounded like he was on some crack! Amisha Patel's dance sagment was intriguing, her Madonna impression was weird. And why the hell was SRK seen at times with and without a neck plaster? And people have no courtesy to say atleast a few words about there winning award. Most have shown disrespect by just coming on stage to collect the award and leaving without saying a word. And it also seemed that too many awards were like a constellation prize just made up on the spot (ie. Swiss Award to Yash Chopra, Special Award to Raveena & Amisha) Please people, if your gonna have awards, make them active every year. And if you ask me, the only highlight of the show as Johnny Lever scenario of Aslam Bhai and the inside jokes reflected to the Godfather, that was funny. :D

i completely agree... i thought the screen awards were better.. this whole event was to make money.... there were ads every 10 mins... and in india sony tv was advertising the event by saying it was being telecast live by sattellite.. which was not true as the event started on tv from 9pm and went on the 1am while the actual awards were wrapped up by 10pm due to some rule/regulation... the hosts were irritating although i enjoyed archana puran singh copying kareena kapoor in k3g..

I haven't seen AJNABEE yet but I find it hard to believe that Akshay Kumar gave a better performance than Manoj Bajpai gave in AKS!
