Check your copy.

This post talks about it.

ok Sk... after purchasing stuff from indiastore i have come to a conclusion that the cheapo nasty DEI/Eros titles that they have are most definately replicated discs and are definately not the originals!! Tell u the truth, im kinda thinking twice about purchasing any DEI/Eros titles from any reputable DVD suppliers in America!! There are a number of distinguishable facts why i think these DVDs are replicated!!

* Firstly the covers are pathetic and are printed cheapily!!

* Secondly the older Eros/DEI titles all had rounded corners for the covers whereas the ones i have are normal paper edges and distinguish these as replicated

* Older Eros/DEI titles had inlay covers that also had the current Eros catalogue displayed in it... whereas the new ones... theres no such inlays of any kind...

* Why do the cases have "Patent Pending" displayed within the covers...... ???

* Even though the discs themselves are very hard to distinguish, the covers and packaging give it away!!

As for you thinking im trying to point fingers... im not doing anything as of such... Ive purchased from indiacdstore and indiaweekly, and ive been mistified with the products (not as much with IW but definately with indiacdstore) I purchased a number of my Eros/DEI titles from shehryaar, and all have been the real deal... the real deal because they all had holograms, proper covers etc... As for your attempt on trying to pull the shit out on me.. well i`ll leave the words open!! I was trying to help a bruv out, especially since ive been pissed all over by retailers trying to sell me shit, and if all you can do is make snide comments then i appreciate it you keep them yourself

Well Faddy, I didnt make any sinde remarks ! All I wanted was proof of what you were saying. Now here is something I would like to add. I dont think any of the older DEI titles had Holograms ( now if you didnt know HOLOGRAMS also can be replicated ! Read up your Optics lessons if you havent done so)... Now something abt Covers.....

I definately know this fact. Covers, and the DVDs are shipped separately. This doesnt necessarily mean that the covers have to be PERFECTLY in shape ("rounded edges"). The final shrink wrap is done by the distributor...

As far as I know, Indiaweekly or Indiancdstore are mere e-tailers. They are not distributors.

Now to answer your question abt Faded covers... As you know theese discs are very much extinct now. The covers are "shabby" cos of two reasons. These are the only things whhich may be replicated (Xeroxed !)...and secondly the original artwork (on e.g a JPG or BMP file) may be with EROS. In order to duplicate that you need a lil bit of skill. !!!

However if these discs are indeed replicated, then they are doing a very good job.

Faddy blame it on the distributors..and not the e-tailers. !

basically Sk... even though the e-tailers are not the ones creating such discs, they are just to blame as much as anyone else...!! look at the fiasco with the First Look Asoka... no one knows including the distributers and retailers whether or not its the real deal...!! You mentioned about how these packages are put together seperately and artwork "xeroxed", i dont see why we should fork out for third rate shit!! At the end of the day i cant see Amazon selling replicated Xeroxed covers for OOP criterion releases!! but what i do see is replicated DVDs being sold at a fraction of the price at local computer fairs and car boot sales!! E-Tailers definately do leave an ever lasting impression on the customer and if they leave any doubt in a customers mind then obviously they can wave bye bye to them......... thats wat a lot of american e-tailers have done by giving me third rate shit...

Ahh now thats a different issue abt the MORALITY of e-tailers selling cheapo stuff...For that I wont exonerate the e-tailers.. Its like a rat race... If they try to be "holier than thou", then some other e-tailer can pick up the tag and start selling those pirated DVDs ( BABA being one of them..which sadly FOLKS here like DESIGUY wont label as an Official PIRATE for reasons unknown to me  ).

Thanks, I still want it, but I am hoping to find it at a cheaper price than £16.99. Especially considering those wankas at cdguru are charging £10.99 for the Eros b4u version.

I am surprised how come I was never asked this question...

Let me clarify this once and for all (though I know newer folks here will definately ask me this again) :-

1.) I am a PhD student and hence in no way connected with DEI or Indiaweekly or Indiancdstore

2.) Why I come to their defence, cos these are the 3 companies with whom I have a good rapport ( Afzal @ IW, Satish @ ICD and Sandish @ DEI)... Its great to chat with them and express opinion to them and hey they actually listen to folks suggestions ( which are more than criticisms...if you wanna give suggestiosn then give something constructive also !)
