You all might have heard about the fairytale story of ?Ali Baba Aur Chalis Chor? and also seen many versions on the same onscreen. But now director Sunil Agnihotri comes with the 11th film being made on the same subject (the last version was made way back in 1980 and starred Dharmendra and Hema Malini) and claims it to be a modern day adaptation of the theme. Modern because you will see this Ali Baba clad in Jeans and shirts here. Sounds strange, isn't it? However they will stick to the original storyline though the presentation of the fable and treatment of characters would be entirely different.

Arbaaz Khan stars in the role of Ali Baba while the female lead is being played by Pinky Harwani (who made a dismal debut in Janasheen). The chief of the thieves ? Jakaal is being played by Tej Sapru. Anand-Milind have composed the music of the film. Incidentally their father ? the famous musician Chitragupt had composed music for the first ever Ali Baba Aur 40 Chor made in 1954.

The film is mainly targeted towards children and also has a dinosaur character in it.

Remember CHITRAGUPT.

Urbanlegend, may be if you can merge this thread with the earlier thread.

My purpose of posting was just to point out what was mentioned in the news story that Music Director Annand Millind is the Son of 50s & 60s famous Musioc Director Chitragupt.

Monizam, I don't know what's in the original Arabian tale, but two Hindi films that I have seen on this subject (Sanjeev Kumar and the other Dharmendra one), Alibaba himself is paired against the slave girl (heroine).
