Khakee:

´Khakee´ , India´s First Digitalised Film

-----
Made in the state-of-the-art studio of Chennai based Prasad EFX , ´Khakee´ was completely digitalised to match the colour tones and give other special effects . "We shot our key scenes in the summer as we wanted a rustic look but due to Aishwarya´s accident a major portion of the schedule got delayed . When the shooting resumed in monsoon , there was a lot of greenery on all locations . This posed a problem in continuity and that is when our cameraman , K.B. Anand , suggested that we opt for a digital intermediate process to tone down greens " says Santoshi , who is satisfied with the results .
-----

I wonder where did they use the special effects?? DIL DOOBA song or VAADA RAHA song. DIL DOOBA was a total washed out print. May be it was this song, where they used Digial Video??

Or, may be it was Vaada Raha song??
Vaada Raha had brilliant colors, effects (frozen background and moving images) and photography.

Rana

P.S.
Another quote from the same news item:
'---- According to Sai Prasad , CEO , Prasad EFX -----'

Any relation between this Sai and SAI Digital of EVP??

A good special effect is one that you normally don't notice.
It could be a CGI or just blending tones and adding some colours to wherever needed...

The incompetent f**ks at eros does it again. Any scenes with alot of action is full of pixelation. Its so horrible during the Lara Dutta song. The DD is alright with sound effects being very good.

Atul Kulkarni was really awesome in his role. So was Ajay Devgan. I don't have enough words to praise the camera work. A-grade material from K.V Anand all the way.

Special effects were added to increase the intensity of the explosions, erase wire work, blue screen doves during one song. I think the Dil Dooba song had the intentional sun drenched look created from digital color timing.

I have not seen the dvd yet, but by reading these comments about this Eros dvd it's dpressing. I just hate the Eros corp. and the people who ran this horrible company. I wish we could sue these people for degrading art. It looks like we're out of luck there is no chance of Eros going bankrupt.I don't know how come the companies who make most of these movies don't give a dam about what happpens to the dvd release of thier movies. Again there r all friends with people like Eros and, that eastern mentality, u know, as long as they're making their money they don't give a S...* what customer say or want. They all disgust me. Once in a while u see their ugly and big fat bellies on some indian shows talking about entertainment which they don't have any clue and don't care either.
