Don't bother Thirumalai isn't that much of a great film, its Vijay at a low point. Just wait for his next film which is the high budget Gilli.

Guys the DVD is good, except it had manufacturing defects. It stops are few chapters, the retailer where I bought the DVD was happy to exchange this with another DVD, but again same problem at the same place [chapter 13, from the beginning for about 20 minutes].

About Thirumalai - the DVD is VERY good. I dont know if you all have 200 inch TV, but in my 36inch HDTV with Bose home theatre, I didnt find any issues. The movie is entertaining, atleast somewhat different from the previous vijay movies.

About future of Tamil industry, mr sunny, take my word, the future is going to be in the hands of actor and actress and not directory. common, how many people like manirathnam movies compared to k s ravikumar, get the message, villiages are the root of india, you cant make a movie for few people in Zulm [and i dont think you guys even but the dvds, you just rent and complaint], the future is going to be in quality, closer to real life movies.

One last word, saw virumandi in theatre, the pirated VHS already out in NJ, but I belive it has been taken from pirated DVD. I am not sure who is releasing the DVD, but its on my must buy collection already.

Hollywood DVDs as well as BEI DVDs are. Learn from them.

the movie comes in so many (subtitled) languages.. so the songs have subtitles, right? cos in the cinema they didn't ???

Saale Cutloo..Fact is that SRK was way 2 outspoken at the awards night & he made a fool of himself.. Anyone who has seen the awards has noticed his remarks & most of them have found it very rude & unwanted... :D

I purchased the 2-disk pack from my retailer here in Toronto. Definetely is the official one with the Yash Raj holographic sticker in the corner.

The design work of the cover for it is really innovative...opens up into like a brochure sort of thing, haven't seen that before with indian DVDs. Plus the quality itself was quite noticeable, much better than any Yash Raj DVDs I've seen recently!

And you can get both for under $20. I got Once Upon a Time in the West 2 disc for $13.99 this weekend and it has better quality than most $20 YRF DVDs. And it is a 1969 film!

I have a question abt this dvd and please give me the answere straightly, I am fed up of this fighting even between we zulmis itself. (India aur Pakistan ke beech mein bhi itni dushmani nahin hogi :D ).
1. how is the sound format and what will be the rating you will give for that honestly.
2. what abt the media type? gold or silver.

If I have to pay $20, for 15% gold+85% silver(like KMG), BADLY authored video, GOOD DD(even BHOOT/DMH had VERY VERY GOOD SOUND), JUST for COVER ART package..I decline to do so!!

I will rate overall PACKAGe 6.5-7/10..may

I got the dvd....and let me say.....maybe i was special and i got a good dvd cuz i dont know wat everyone is talkin about.....i think the dvd is sooooo clear omg....and the sound is great and its a gold disc (someone was askin).......yea if u pause it its all wierd but im sorry i dont really care wat the movie looks like wen its paused.....the dvd is great!

p.s. i thnk of all the deleted scenes the alternate starting should have been used and the take out from the last song!
