Five great dramas have been released on DVD by Sadaf CD in Pakistan... these dramas are some of the best dramas released from Pakisitan in the last 3 years... And I am so glad they are on DVD as the transfers done on them are very respectable indeed.. for the guys that are not aware, PTV dramas can only be seen on very poor VHS tape recordings and and does the drama no justice whatsoever.. However these DVDs are great and the sound is very clear indeed.. I really would recommend you guys to ditch the shity bollywood movies and spend a little time watching on of these dramas they truly are amazing.. and please dont compare them to some of the crappy indian dramas show on zee or star (btw this is a racist comment.. pakistani dramas are in a league of their own)... here are the first five screen shots, and I have two more titles "Thora Khushi Thora Ghum" and "Tum Hi To Ho" on order and they should follow shortly... All DVDs were purchased from http://www.cdstore.com.pk..

Although I haven't seen any of these dramas, most of the Urdu dramas I have seen are pretty good - Tum Hi To Ho is a personal favourite.

(and I think this post proves I'm not racist like Faddy :tounge: )

basically theres a guy who comes over to study in scotland.. meets a white women and marries her.... takes her pakistan and there is a bit of a culture clash... and yes they do have kids... I think it is the same one u are thinking about Izzy.. Ansoo is a great drama... Its written by Haseena Moin who has written her fair share of quality dramas in the past including Tanhaiyan, Ankahi and Dhoop Kinare...

I watched part of an episode of Umrao Jaan Ada today on GEO. It was the one that showed her as a little girl, how she got that name, etc. Is this the first episode?

No not yet ... would nice though, I was born in Canada and even though I can speak/understand (not write/read) urdu, there are still some words that are difficult to understand and subtitles would be of great help. Its only a matter of time, hopefully soon.

I think this should have been posted here, rather than a thread on its own :)

Chahatain
Starring: Atiqa Odho, Vaneeza Ahmed, Nabeel, Uzma Geelani, Ghazal
Jawaid, Rajo Jameel, Shafi Muhammad Shah and Humayun Saeed

Written by: Seema Ghazal
Directed by: Ahsan Ali Zaidi
Currently on air: PTV Prime

Seems the Drama is inspired from the Indian Movie Kahon Nah Pyar hain but overall its a very good drama which keeps the viewers on the seat till climax

Possible Spoilers
The story revolves around a girl (Atiqa) who falls in love with a guy (Humayun Saeed). After Humayun dies, she goes to her father who is a
millionaire in Malaysia. Here she meets with a duplicate of Humayun
Saeed who tries to attract her, but she ignores him. Later, she
discovers the fact that the man she loved was actually murdered and
thus seeks the duplicate's help in solving the crime. The duplicate
Humayun agrees to go with her to Pakistan to find the murderer.
The story sounds very much like a movie we have all seen. Let's see
what Humayun Saeed's Production has to offer. Viewers would be happy to see the Humayun-Vaneeza pair back on the screen.
