Rakhee lambasts Rituparno, Ash & Nandita

This year's best supporting actress National Award winner in Rituparno Ghosh's 'Shubhu Muhurat' (Bengali) Rakhee says Rituparno's 'Chokher Bali' (Prasanjit, Aishwarya Rai, Raima Sen) is absolutely rubbish and extremely boring. According to her, though she loved the performance of Prasanjit and Raima Sen, she says Aishwarya Rai looked just the same as she does in all her films.

As for her co-star Nandita Das in 'Shubhu Muhurat', the senior actress says Nandita lacks the discipline to learn serious acting and thinks no end of herself as if she knows everything about all the nuances of acting.


* I agree with veteran actress, re Aish, and failure of talented nandita!

WOW! Well at least someone in the industry is brave enough to say it out loud.

I never thought much of Nandita either, she's like a Shabana Azmi clone gone wrong!

Agree with you here and I dont think too highly of Shabana Azmi's acting prowess either.....

These are actresses that bring their personal lives into their vocation (not always their main choice) and profess to know the job....in the case of Das she claims to be social worker first, who has acted in street plays and things...but really is pretty mediocre and ineffective in her portrayals(AKS, FIRE, LAL SALAAM)....the only movie she was bearable was ROCKFORD where she had the minisculest of roles.....

I'll differ with u re Shabana azmi, personal life, imaterial, SHE IS A REAL ACTRESS OF SUBSTANCE imho!
