i really wouldnt care to see khnh in dts, or even in theaters for that matter. its just another yash chopra mushy-gushy flick. I thought the first trailor looked really impressive but as time went on and i caught a glimpse of hte UNBEARABLE pretty woman and mahi ve, i decided...DVD movie. i think i'm going to save 9 bucks and go watch tehzeeb next week. now theres a movie that's worth it. with brilliant talent like urmila and shabana, and a KICK ASS score by rahman. i can't wait. khnh is pretty dull, according to me. I still want to see it, but after watching the promos it definetly looks like yet another re-hash of other yash raj presentations.
don't get me wrong. i love yash chopra. his movies are amazing, but lately...with movies like kkhh, k3g, myksh, mdk and all the rest i fail to see a difference in any of it. mushy acting, billions of background dancers, flashy colors, o yea, and a stupid college dance number that half the cast is too old for. hopefully the people that wrote that time magazine article a couple weeks ago don't run into this because if i were them, i'd retract that article asap. some directors like dr. chandraprakash dwidevi, khalid mohammad, mani ratnam, and ram gopal varma are trying to push our glowing industry ahead while repeating goons like karan johar and rakesh roshan are just pushing our industry back into a whirlpool of corny song-and-dance routines, and cheap dialouges. khnh looks liek it has great production values and a touching story, but just looks like the same fantasy india's been living for the last 20 years all over again...
anyone agree?
