Now they have those stupid telecom commercials on Ayngaran DVDs and other ads that we can't forward through.

I hope Ayngaran does not keep authoring DVDs this way.

First the logo on the picture, now an ad? First DEI, now Ayngaran. Can you skip the ad by pressing the Title button?

Why not get your DVD modify so it can skip through any advert. I did this for only £25 on my Pioneer DVD player so I can skip through any advert and warnings!!!

DVD of Kaaka Kaaka is due out within a couple of weeks...

Thanks for the recommendation crazydvdbuyer!

I finally watched 'Parthibhan Kanavu'. This is one of the best movie I seen this year. It's a story about a guy falling in love with and marrying a girl, only to find out she's not the same person who he fell in love with. The director gave this movie a different treatment which is very rarely seen in Indian cinema. The movie is a fantastic directorial debute by Karu. Pazhaniyappan. It's hard to believe that this is his first movie. I liked it when the director gave props to Old Tamil movies!. Cinematography and especially editing are all top-notch. Acting by Srikanth and Sneha are all believable and great. A special mention goes to Vivek, who I think did the best comedic perfomance this year in Indian cinema.

Overall ****4/*****5

Ayngaran dvd features good PQ and great DTS sound! If you are interested in good movies please check this movie out!!!

PK seems to be getting universal praise, but the local rental store only carries a pirate DVD :( I might have to bite the bullet and rent it if the film is that good, and buy the Ayngaran version if I like it enough.

DVD REVIEW___>>>
Thiruda Thirudi- Tamilini.
2.35.1 anamorphic widescreen
DTS and DD 5.1

Thiruda Thirudi is entertainting, cliched and at times melodramatic. The story goes something like, hero meets the girl, girl hates the hero, girl loves the hero, hero hates the girl and then they ends up together. Dhanush and Saya Singh shows a lot of promise. Dhansuh really comes off as a natural talent on screen with no hero looks. Songs are average. Some of the words (double meaning or sexual) are censored out. :baaa:

DVD PQ: good transfer featuring lots of nice colors. Like many new tamil dvds grain is there, but never becomes annoying. 3.5/5

DVD SQ: sound is great. DTS featuring lots of bass especially during songs. 4/5
