A mammoth commercial success, this movie is remembered for its superb music, especially the title song 'Khilona Jaan Kar Tum Ko' and the stunning mujra 'Agar Dilbar Ki Ruswai'. The film marked the first big film for both Sanjeev Kumar and Mumtaz. He’d been doing supporting roles and small films, while she was stuck with her glamour doll image. The film won a clutch of awards Mumtaz won the Filmfare Best Actress award and Sanjeev Kumar, Mohammed Rafi and story writer Gulshan Nanda were nominated in their categories too. Shatrughan Sinha essays a splendidly debauched role of a sleazy villain, while Jagdeep’s comic timing is matchless.

The covers that IW has are of MDE and YASHRAJ only. According to the image used in DVDDHAMAKA.com, it's appears to be a samrat release.

So which is the best or the least disappointing KHILONA... MDE, Samrat, Eros or YRF?

Eros? i dont believe there is a such version.

This is one of the first Yashraj DVD that is authored by Prasad Digital (Not Super Digital). The picture quality is better than other yashraj dvds. However the picture loses focus and somewhat grainy at-times.

MDE version video is very very soft. colourful, but sound is poor.

SAMRAT has yet to release a decent DVD, from other samrat dvds experience, cannot expect much from this dvd either.

Gee I remember that film, watched it back in the good old VHS days, wasn't a great movie IMO but somehow its become a classic...
