i was just watching "King of Melody - Kishore Kumar". and came across the following song:

Lafange-Log Kahte Hain, Ke Hum Lafange Hain, Hum Lafange Nahin Hai..Patange Hai...

is this movie "LAFANGE" released on DVD yet? and since it's on WEG DVD, is it released by WEG? I did a little search for the dvd online and got no luck. so how WEG got the rights to do that song?

and the song sounds pretty funny. isn't 'patang' mean KITE? the subtitle used by WEG says "FIREFLY". by the way hindi isn't my first language, i may be wrong.

Yes Patang = "kite", .. how did WEG get the rights... simple... they got hold of some old beta master and transferred that to DVD... If i am not mistaken, lafange starred Randhir Kapoor :p

Patang is kite, but "patange" does mean firefly which is used in the subtitle.

o.. so they are right on subtitle!

as the movie 'LAFANGE' no one has any idea why or how WEG did the song. could it be possible that they will be releasing the movie shortly. o well. i am not too keen about the movie itself, haven't seen it.
