SKNATH I HAVE STILL BEEN BUYING ALL THE DVDS BUT NOT USING ZULM ALOT....SOMETIMES U GET BORED OF IT ALL!!!! I BLAME ALI FOR TAKING THE CHIT CHAT OFF TOPIC AWAY..THAT USED TO BE FUN....ESPECIALLY TALKING ABOUT JUGINDERS!!!!!

ANYWAY THE POINT I WAS MAKING WAS IN REFERENCE TO A STAND ALONE DVD RECORDER (MY FAULT FOR NOT BEING SPECIFIC) - U DO LOSE THE SOUND 5.1 FORMAT - NOT MUCH POINT IN SPENDING 400/500 POUNDS!!

ALSO EROS - I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT IN THE UK THEY REALLY HAVE BELTED UP!! THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE IS REALLY GOOD FOR EROS STANDARDS - THEIR DVDS SOUND WISE ARE MUCH BETTER - BUT ONLY FOR THEIR NEW STUFF - YES I AGREE THEIR PIC IS STILL VERY POOR!!

FINALLY

SALMAN FOR THE NATIONAL AWARD AND HIS BEST FRIEND IN THE FILM FOR THE BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR - WOT A BRILL FILM!!!!

Quote from film:
"Bhaghwan mujhe thakat doh....kai mein usai bhool sakh-hoin.....WOT A BRILL FILM!!!!!

sknath, some advise...
Can you actually copy a dvd to your hard disk with subtitles and 5.1 sound?
And can you burn it on a DVD-/+R(w) while keeping the subtitles optional and 5.1?
Your experienced advise will be a real welcome...

cheers

Yes you can...
http://www.doom9.org should have all answers to your questions !
Just use smartRipper to blindly rip the VOB files onto ur machine...Then use a program like VOBJOin to join them...
If you really adore the film then you can split them into 2 parts ( as they will in general be more than 4.7 GB in size) and then u can burn them
However you can compress the big file to fit one disc.. It will give you negligible loss of quality ( as the original MAAL will be shit anyways... i,e any EROS, VS, etc. dvd )
You will have the subtitles, 5.1 sound and the compressed video... Make sure you get rid of the extras !

Or you could use DVD X Copy which costs around $40.00 with mail in rebate and let it do all the work for you. THe program will let you keep ur 5.1 sound and subtitles!!!

this might be a SPOILER

looks like there will be another version of tere nam coming soon when eros gets hold of this ending
Have you seen 'Tere Naam'? If yes, then go and have a look at it again. In a record of sorts, the ending of the film has been changed from the second week. Initially, the film ended with Khan boarding a van to be taken to the ashram, but now he will be shown as aging in the ashram that houses mentally ill patients. The change has been made to suit the audiences' needs, as many people did not appreciate the tragic end. Probably, the changed end reflects the actual changes that have taken place in the actor's personal life!
taken from smash hits
so dose this aging thing come after he bords the van or dose it come be4 so they dont shwow what happend to bhumika?

Just a "technical" discussion in "pirating" Tere Naam and other EROS, Videosound, Yashraj, Spark etc (non BEI) authored dvds !

why you chaps bother to copy when dvds are so cheap is beyond my understanding you complain about the quality but yet you find no complaint when you have to duplicate the same shits
