Bhoot
Mr. India
-both bad-
-both bad-
Satya
Shaheed(1965)
Dil Se
Gandhi
-both excellent-
-both excellent- (apples and oranges)
though Golmaal would be a better choice as the ending of Padosan was lil bit corny !

Devdas(2002) or Bhoot - both avg flicks, Devdas better in theater, maybe Bhoot slightly better overall film

Mr. India or Koi...Mil Gaya - Mr. India, though KMG surpassed expectations

Aks or Abhay - Aks by a landslide

Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Apke Hain Kaun - didn't like either, but at least I watched all of MPK

Satya or Company - Satya

The Legend Of Bhagat Singh or Shaheed(1965) - have not seen Shaheed

Hu Tu Tu or Dil Se - Dil Se

Hey Ram or Gandhi (Richard Attenborough) - Gandhi

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam or Jalsaghar - SBAG

Padosan or Gol Maal - Gol Maal

Devdas(2002) or Bhoot --> Definitely Devdas.

Mr. India or Koi...Mil Gaya --> Mr. India

Aks or Abhay --> I didn't care for either very much.

Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Apke Hain Kaun --> In any case, either of these are masterpieces compared to the atrocity against humanity that was Mein Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

Satya or Company --> Both were terrific, but my personal favourite is Company.

The Legend Of Bhagat Singh or Shaheed(1965) --> LOBS is tremendously underrated - Ajay Devgan totally deserved the National Award.

Hu Tu Tu or Dil Se --> Dil Se is in my top five or possible number 1.

Hey Ram or Gandhi (Richard Attenborough) --> Not a fan of either one, although Ben Kingsley's portrayal of Gandhi was spine-chilling.

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam or Jalsaghar --> Haven't seen either.

Padosan or Gol Maal --> Haven't seen either.

What sort of comparisons are these!
:sus:

Some comparisons are intended to be similar theme/genre based. Others I just picked off the top of my head.

Here are my selections:

Devdas(2002) or Bhoot - I loved both films, but SLBs Devdas has the slight edge over Bhoot, because of its extreme technical wits.

Mr. India or Koi...Mil Gaya - Both are cute kiddy flicks, but I am particularly more attracted to the numerous gimmick-like characters of Mr. India

Aks or Abhay - A true one man show: Amitabh Bachchan's talent.

Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Apke Hain Kaun

Satya or Company

The Legend Of Bhagat Singh or Shaheed(1965) - I particularly don't think too much of Manoj Kumar, but Shaheed is hands down the best thing he's ever done(both as director & actor). Not to mention, Shaheed has some lyrically fervent songs.

Hu Tu Tu or Dil Se - I love Gulzar, infact, he's my favourite Indian Director working today, but Dil Se has become more inescapably very powerful and ahead of its time every time I see it, not to mention, it has some of the most spine-tingling photographed & choreographed song sequences I have EVER seen.

Hey Ram or Gandhi (Richard Attenborough) - I feel that Attenborough's film is a tad overrated and a it bit falsified about the works of Mohan K. Das Gandhi. Haasan's film on the other hand is more intellectually written to my taste, and excellent photography to capture the intended mood, feel, and look of its period.

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam or Jalsaghar - This was a hard one to decide on, as I genuinely love both Dutt & Ray's work, but I find and love the Shakespearian style of direction Ray provides to the story of Jalsaghar.

Padosan or Gol Maal
