does anyone have a sony wega tv that has enhanced wide screen?

i'm worried my subtitles will get cut off if I buy it.

I think u r being silly here - How can your subtitles be hidden due to an enhanced w/s TV - I dont think a company of Sony standard would dare to make a tv where the subs get hidden or cut off!!!

If the DVD is made with non friendly subs than of course it will be cut off and it would not be Sony's fault. It would be the DVD manufacturers fault (ie.DEI, ERO$, VS, YashRaj etc.)

I have a Sony KF32FX-65 model (100hz Widescreen). This is a common problem in widescreen Wega TV's cause of the default setting is 'SMART'.

Change your settings to Widescreen in TV options and also check settings in the DVD Player options. Maybe the DVD Player option is set to Letterbox etc. It took me a while to figure this out when I first purchased my TV.

Once you get the settings sorted, the Sony TVs are a cracking buy!!! Good Luck!
