Bend It Like Beckham gets R1 Release.


Fox Home Entertainment has announced the release of Bend It Like Beckham on 30th September in both

Full frame and Anamorphic versions.

Extras will include;

Director and co-writer commentary


10 deleted/extended scenes
"Who wants to cook Aloo Gobi" featurette, hosted by the director

I'm still (pleasantly) shocked that this turned out to be the sleeper hit that it was, but I didn't think much of it while watching it on a pirate DVD copy... Maybe I'll give it a second chance.

Yes, first i downloaded a Divx copy from somewhere... and just fast forwarded thru the movie in WMP and deleted the file. After it was declared a Hit and gave it another chance and I loved it, although it could have been much better. :)

arsh what website do you get this stuff from? and do you know the anamorphic ratio for this movie if it will show those stupid black bars on widescreen tvs

1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen. Maybe they'll make it 1.78:1, who knows.

I find that dvdfile.com, thedigitalbits.com, and davisdvd.com cover the latest news well.

i saw that bilb widescreen will be anamorphic 1.85:1
i think that means no black bars on 16*9 widescreen tvs

Only movies with the aspect ratio of 2.35.1 shows small black bars on widescreen tvs.

i just think the black bars are a wast of space on your t.v. especially the regular non anamorphic letter box ones :ffs: :ffs: :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:
