I spoke to Sandish and after a few bad luck incidences with an employee, its seems that the DEI have cocked up on the DVD of YDA. The first transfer they did was not anamorphic, so they did another transfer from another print as the first one used was sent to New York for the cinema showing. The print they used for the second transfer turned out to have one whole reel missing (meaning a song was cut). So now time was going by and fearing the pirate market DEI released the DVD in anamorphic but where the song cuts DEI decide the letterbox version made from the first print that way the film is presented in full.

If your confused then don't worry as DEI will be re-releasing this title next week in a new transfer, and in anamorphic! Hope DEI sack that person as they have cocked up majorly!

dei are messed up at the moment and there releases are showing it! what kinda of shitty excuse is that? they messed up another dvd that they cud have spend a few more days doing and instead are playing the same old tune of 'fearing the pirate market' :rolleyes: dei are no better than eros or yrf!

what about the people who have already got the messed version of YDA? are dei going to compensate for their screwup!

Wait, DEI used a cinema print for the transfer? Cinema prints are inappropriate for video transfers.
