Hey fads! I got the same DVD recorder/player in my bedroom connected with my PC, DVD player and Sky Digital Box. I get many request from family and friends for films from B4U and with the help of some fine editing (taking away the ads) I give them better DVDs then the originals.

My advise people buy a DVD recorder and you will see the benefits...

Nowe I am planning on getting a software called Magic Bullet which converts interlaced to progressive 24fps...My friend has a copy and did a test for me on Devdas (EROS DVD)...the results look phat!!

If Eros gets ahold of this Magic Bullet software they're gonna start converting their old DVDs into "progressive" and label them Super Ultimate Gold Enhanced Smooth Viewing Anamorphic Progressive editions.

Nope...from the DVDs I rip them then recompress it using Sonic and Magic Bullet to fit on a DVD-R disc then use magic then just burn it.

From B4U I record directly to my computer hard disc...using a paht capture card...from that I edit with Avid XP and then I pass it thorugh Magic Bullet. I then compress the file and burn it onto DVD-R.

Im hopin to purchase a DLT soon...which will enable me to save it as a proper DVD file...and press a proper DVD disc...for my own use of course...

Sunny

could you post some screens of the Devdas you're friend edited with Magic Bullet so we can see how it looks like as compared to the original? I'm rather curious....

sunny what i meant was if ure capturing somet from sky digital... how wud u record it... wud u record it directly to DVD-RAM or DVD-r.... im finding it easier to record it on DVD-RAM because i can convert it easily on my PC... but i need to figure out how to convert the .VFR files (i think what the filenames are) to VOB... anyone got any ideas!!
