Khabi Copy Khabi Not

Film trade magazines have been awash with colourful adverts of a new action flick that is set to cause quite a stir. The film starring Bollywood lookalikes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan is titled Kabhi Kranti Kabhie Jung (K3J), emulating smash hit Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham (k3G).

In a complete contrast to K3G this new movie will have wall to wall action, guns and violence. The film is unlikely to secure an international release, but is slated for a release this March in India.

Now this I have got to see Can't wait...

Its sad that in India, any worthwhile spoofs are made... It is considered demeaning to make a spoof...Contrast that with Hollywood ...Leslie Nielsen became a superstar ( as a Buddha) when he started making spoofs ( esp the Naked Gun series) and then ..Wrongfully accused ( Spoof of The Fugitive !)...

The only worthwhile Indian spoof that was made was way back in the ealy 1990's...RAMPUR KE SHOLAY...duplicate Amitabh, Duplicate Dev Anand ( aka Sev Anand !)

i wonder where they come up with these duplicate stars..

Teenmoti (Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan, Jacki Shroff)

Saw that movie...spoof of Trimuti (when Sanjay Dutt was is in it), beginning was funny than just got really stupid. I remember liking one or two songs...

the best spoof has to be Ramgarh ke sholay which starred the real Amjad khan alongside lookalikes
