I understand that most of you must be dissapointed that Columbia has not placed Chapter stops for the songs on the Lagaan DVD. But don't let this deter you from buying this DVD. Fortunately all the songs have Chapter stops placed very close to the begining of the song. Therefore all one has to do is make a note of the Chapter stops corresponding to the songs and fastforward the few seconds before the song begins. I know it's a crude method, but it does work.

Listing in Order of Songs:

1) Ghanan Ghana - Chapter 9
2) Mitwa - Chapter 17
3) Radha Kaise Na Jale - Chapter 23
4) O Rey Chori - Chapter 28
5) Chale Chalo - Chapter 31
6) O Paalanhaare - Chapter 43

Also if interested:
1) Lagaan...Once Upon A Time In India - Chapter 1
2) Waltz for a Romance - Middle of Chapter 24 and Begining of Chapter 25

Listing In order of Chapters:

1) Chapter 1 - Lagaan...Once Upon A Time In India
2) Chapter 9 - Ghanan Ghana
3) Chapter 17 - Mitwa
4) Chapter 23 - Radha Kaise Na Jale
5) Chapter 28 - O Rey Chori
6) Chapter 31 - Chale Chalo
7) Chapter 43 - O Paalanhaare

PS: Has anyone noticed that the 6 main songs are presented on the CD in the same order as they appear in the film.

Hey congress,

I got my copy of the DVD of Lagaan from my regular supplier of DVDs here in Delhi. By the way a friend of mine got a copy of Lagaan from the US almost 12 to 14 days ago. He bought it from a Best Buy in the Los Angeles area.

hey Sanjay, I must know where you buy your DVDs from Delhi? Do you have an exact location address? I don't live in Delhi, but i will most definilty give this location a visit during my future visits. The only place I knew where you could get Indian films on Disc were in Canod Place/Palika Bazaar, where they sell a number of Indian VCDs. Please let me know about this DVD location! thanks.

Hey DVD collector,
There is no fixed shop or location for my supplier. Since he does not sell retail and only supplies to other retailers and DVD rental libraries. I myself own and operate a DVD library, so if you wish feel free to contact me whenever your in town and I can help you out with whatever it is you need. As for Palika Bazaar, avoid it like the plague, it is the heart of piracy in Delhi and is full of unscruplous business men.

Lagaan vcd releases today in Singapore 23/01/2001 also by CT. DVD will be available next week. Actually this news is pretty big in singapore, since the major newspaper carried a headline today of the dvd released by columbia tristar and an interview with Aamir and Ashutosh. Took me by surprise actually this morning.

Hey thanks for the info. Sanjay, I will ask you about your location once again when i do make plans to come to India. But I assure you that this won't be anytime soon, I was last in India 2 years ago, and me & my family probably won't make another visit until after the next 2-3 years. :(
