If Bush can have his list I thought we should have a list for Bollywood DVDs and try and get the UN Security Council to pass a resolution to stop the practice of companies producing bad bollywood DVDs.

I think the following should be all included on the list for supporting and promoting and distributing bad DVDs.

1. Eros.
2. WEG
3. Video Sound
4. SKY

Feel free to add more to the list as the problem of rogue companies producing bad DVDs need to be addressed.

I think the best way to show these DVD manufacturers that we don't like their DVD's is not to buy any of them and continue to buy only top quality DVD's including the Indian ones relased under western labels. After a while they have to notice and wonder what's wrong.

Top of that list should be APOLLO, I would rather not watch a DVD period if it was choice between that and watching the utter crap these guys dish out. They have ruined two of my all time favourite Amitabh movies: Aakhree Raasta and Main Azaad Hoon. Somebody should bomb them before they go after Saddam.

Unfortunately there are only bad DVDs and slightly less bad DVDs right now. Until BEI starts increasing their output, there's nothing worth buying.

I would also like to add Baba Traders to the list.

Any company that makes it impossible to skip the promos without much effort and conniving on the part of the viewer deserves to get added to this list. I cannot STAND it when I buy a DVD only to learn that for the rest of time I will have to sit through fifteen minutes of terrible previews and Eros's congratulatory poems to itself every time I want to watch the film. Dil Se is the most irritating example of this.

DEI was the most guilty of this and that is why I personally stopped caring about their DVDs even though from an Audio/Video quality point of view they made some of the best DVDs.

simran! i got good news for you. i decided to try my luck and press "stop" during the commercials before dil se and it stopped. when i pressed play, it went straight to the menu!

and bei has started to offer skippable ads, at least in "mission bollywood."

Is it the Eros-DEI version or Eros-B4U? The promos on the Eros-DEI DVDs I've seen are skippable.

Looks like almost all Indian DVD makers got included in the 'AXIS OF EVIL".

What about "AXIS OF GOODWILL"??
Which Indian DVD company will qualify??
