I would honestly love to see the Pakistani Film Industry do films about anti-Indian sentiments. Faddy, do you know of any films? Recommend some!

Moosa Khan, I think it's called. You had the hero, played by Shaan, killing Hindu Brahmins, repeating a famous line that went something like "Tu Rama Rama Kehta Hain, Mein Allah Pe Naam Pe..." and I forgot the rest. It was brutal.

You mean it tried to be brutal and ended up being a comedy :D

BTW I remember an old film, during the days of the Fatwa against Salman Rushdie.. apprently a film was made in their country which showed Salman Rushdie being struck by a bolt of lightning at the very end. (this was in the late eighties) and the "special effects" in that film resembled, the SFX shown in Hindi movies way back in the 1960's

looks like ali won't have to edit anymore posts here on zulm.net, since this little movie scene should teach people to watch what they write...BEWARE OF LIGHTNING! :D

The movie you're referring to was called International Gorelay. I'd love to procure a copy of this movie on VCD for camp value.

yep what a movie international gorelay was.. it was quality trash movie making indeed!! i have tried so hard to get hold of that film for years, but havent been able too!!

As for pakistani films being crap, yes they are crap I dont deny that!! There are many classics which are now very hard to get hold off, but beleive me there are enough quality Lollywood movies!! And believe it or not but many Bollywood blockbusters have been ripped directly of these movies!! Anyway, I very rarely watch any pakistani movies, even my mum hates them!! But Pakistani Dramas are unbeatable... id rather see Pakistan spending there money on Dramas intead of spending money on trash movies!!

The one Pakistani movie I do remember seeing on a business visit to Karachi was called 'Mr.420' or something to that effect. It had one of their superstars of the time (1992) Mohammed Ali (maybe i got the name wrong) playing 4 roles. He had produced, written, directed and acted in it. One of the roles he played was that of a man raised in the jungles by the wolves (a takeoff on a grownup Mowgli perhaps?). The production quality needless to say sucked. But the comic scenes were funny in parts. But what was incredibly funny was the takeoff on the Punjabis that Karachi television serials would do, especially of the Punjabi movies.....man that was something......sigh I do wish the two countries would grow up and be friends with each other....its a major waste of time and energy this insane posturing....
