here's an excerpt to note: "It occurs to me, on second thought, that participating in such sessions with the President is to condone born again Christian Bush´s terrorism of demonic proportions around the globe".

Mahesh Bhatt, what a man, there aren't many people who would turn down breakfast with the President of the USA for the sake of their own principles, so he should be applauded.

Maybe he wants Mahesh to give him Raveena Tandon's phone number? More unfinished business?

I also wanna know why Mahesh Bhatt was invited to the White House! It seems kind of random!

Mahesh Bhatt is the most outspoken guy in Bollywood. Back when his son was having an extramarital affair with Sushmita Sen, he told the press all about it. Always an opinion, which isn't a bad thing at all. But I don't think he should have brought Bush's religion into it. Would he knock another leader by pointing out that he's a devout Hindu? Double standards!

I don't see it as an action of "double standards" at all. Infact, If the likes of the United States government can bring the words terrorism & Islam into one sentence numerous times. Why can't Bhatt do the same with Christen's? And I'm quite sure had a hindu committed acts of terrorism, Bhatt wouldn't be shy enough to speak even than. Mind you, in his last directorial film Zakhm, the most extreme character(s) were Hindu.

It was Vikram Bhatt that had an affair with Sushmita Sen!

I'm glad Mahesh Bhatt turned down breakfast with Bush, this guy is an ego maniac! He is screwing up the country when it was much better with Clinton, and then he's trying to blow up countries that are next to nothing compared to the US. I stopped liking this country when he became president, because the man has no balls, and he isn't doing a job. All he cares about is going to war with Iraq, when peace is a much better option, and there are far too many other problems the world is facing right now.

I'd turn down Bush anyday! That ego and big nose of his bothers me!

Sorry, you're right, they're not father and son, they're uncle and nephew. This doesn't change my point about his outspokenness. He was all over the media at the time about it.

As far as your arguments about Bush go, he's not very bright! But about this:
Quote:

i don't hear Bhatt speaking up about Gujarat and the BJP, now, do I???? Anyway, it's totally different matter. If Bhatt were accusing the IRA, go ahead, call them Christian/Catholic terrorists, their specific type of Christianity is an important key to understanding what sort of terrorists they are and why. But in terms of Bush, it's not improtant in regards to what he's doing re: Iraq (have you heard him mention islam in the context of war? no, only WMD), so I see it as dragging sometihng into the argument that would be better left out UNLESS you want to turn the whole WORLD into a religiously divided warzone! And if you mean to imply that he's talking about ALL Islam when he talks about the terrorists who attacked America, then you're making the same mistake you think he is -- equating all Islam with fundamentalist terrorism. Which is not something I tihnk you shold do, or want to do.

I don't mean to start a flame war, but i think unless we stick to leaving religion out as a way to abuse people, ALL people, no MATTER what their religion, then we're going to end up in a very ugly world.

I thought Mukesh Bhatt was Mahesh Bhatt's brother ! Vikram bhatt and Maheh Bhatt's brother.. too much far fetched...

Sknath,
it's confusing, innit? I went and looked some more on the web and found in a review of Raaz on desitalk this line:

Quote:
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh’s nephew and son of famous cinematographer Pravin Bhatt, the film has very good special effects.

So I guess that answers our question.

I honestly wish I knew what you were talking about so that I could respond to you. I have no clue what the IRA or WMD are?? Please elaborate on them.
