I saw it years ago on Zee TV, and like such classics as 'Sardari Begum', its nowhere to be found anymore. Everything about this movie was excellent. Has it been released on DVD yet? Anyone remember anything about it?

I always find it funny that Malik considers this as one of his best soundtracks, when he ripped off its best songs from Pakistani tunes.

Believe me, this guy has ripped off so many others music including composers from down south.

He is not a composer but just a music director. Anyone can be director. Just mix and match will do. Further to this, the stupid committee don't even know this when they give national awards for best music.

After hearing the excellent soundtrack for this movie I was surprised when my Dad told me that every song was ripped off from Pakistani hit songs from the 1950's. I searched out and found the originals of these tunes and a discovered a whole new world of excellent lyrics, singers and music!

Well I learn not to trust these so-called "music directors" like Anu Malik, Nadeem Shravan etc. COMPOSERS are men like AR Rahman, Ismail Darbar, Sandeep Chowta etc. Even N-S were saying that the recent DKR was their best soundtrack to date, which MANY disagree with!

It was a beautiful soundtrack though! That was a saddening movie though.

I discovered this today. I should go out and check out those old tunes...... well should have realised that with anu mallik nothing is original........

I remember reading that part of this movie was based on Mahesh Bhatt's own experience with Soni Razdan. If thats true then shes one screwed up person for sure. Pooja Bhatt's best performance was in this film, and it was also the film that showed us how fat Rahul Roy would eventually get - hes overweight now.

Any idea where one can find the audio CDs of those Pakistani songs you are talking about? I must give credit to Anu Malik for at least bringing these songs to a wider audience, if not for him I would have never known these tunes.

Kabir, I would say one of Pooja's best performances, I will put her performance in Zakhm, over it..she was good in Tamana and Daddy too!

Unfortunately, she just earned a nomination at filmfare, nothing else for Zakhm, she wa simply brilliant!

yeah arsh bhai pooja bhatt gave some good performances in zakhm, ptkya, tamanna etc but she never really got due credit for her talent.... i guess the roles she was getting were not exciting her enough hence she decided to go behind the scenes as a producer... maybe in the future as a director...
