AKSHAY THREATENED, GETS PROTECTION

Akshay Kumar, an action hero, has got police protection on his asking. The underworld had made him its first target of the New Year. Akshay had received calls from Ejaz Lakdawala, who is reported to be a Chhota Rajan's crime shooter. The actor received a call from Ladawala for Rs 50 lakh or else to face the consequences. Akshay's movie, 'Talaash' is currently running in theater houses. Only three months ago, Salman had been threatened by Chhota Rajan. As a result, Salman had sought licence for arms. But he was denied arms licence following his arrest in the hit and run carcase.


Besides, Suneil Shetty too was recently threatened by Chhota Rajan's gangman, named Hemant Pujari. He had demanded a sum of Rs one crore from Shetty as protection money. Lakdawala's hire long had opened fire on director Lawrence D'Souza near his office at Oshiwara in July last, though the director had escaped narrowly. Of late, there are reports that even small producers, directors and financiers are also targeted for extortion money. Consequently a panic has gripped the Mumbai film industry.

After making movies like Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya and Talaash, I'm not surprised Akshay is being threatened.

LOL! :D

I think it's quite strange that this industry has so many of it's stars being threatened. I really hope they don't get kidnapped or anything!
