When I try to get on dalnet it says
*** Unable to connect (Can't assign requested address)
and i want to download the music of JISM please help

yeh and what happened to #apna-music?
theres only like 5 people there these days..did they move servers or something?

As of midnight GMT on 8th December 2002 DALnet has been experiencing what appears to be a systematic and planned Distributed Denial of Service attack.

This assault on our servers has rendered many of them inoperable and has virtually closed DALnet to normal use. We have no information on who is behind these attacks or what they hope to gain by depriving users of our services and causing extreme inconvenience (and incurring significant cost) to our hosts.

Further, the attacks appear to be sustainable, we have no way of knowing when (or indeed if) they will end. We can only apologise to our users for the inconvenience the criminal actions of these individuals is causing. At present we cannot give any estimate of when or even if we will be able to resume normal operation, we appreciate the continued patience of those who choose to remain.

If you have any information which may be of use to us in tracing the perpetrators of these attacks, please use the contact form on http://kline.dal.net/exploits/info.htm

:sus: Unfortunately the server irc.apna-movies.net 7000 is down now also. Or just too busy to let anyone connect. We need a more reliable connection

irc.dal.net for #desi-mp3, go to http://edk.dyndns.org/servers/
for a list of active dalnet servers

Both channels have tons of music.

Nothing is working on MIRC. Does any1 one how to get on and when is mirc going to be back to normal.

MIRC is a chat client, IRC is the series of networks. MIRC is fine, IRC is fine, but the networks you want are having problems right now unfortunately. I'm not right now, but the working servers change by the day.

I have used the /server irc.apna-movies 7000 for the last few weeks and not able to get in the last 3 days. I get connection refused error.

Is the server down or is there a problem with my ID?

guys its the servers on dalnet that is down. some servers are working fine at the moment. the site that bludhound gave was very helpful.

keep your mirc running & then copy & paste any of the below links in your browser window & thats it! you should be able to connect to one of these servers since they are the only ones working right now. hope this helps.
