Who would you say is the best and why?

I say Shah Rukh. Closest out of the new generation to get near to the legends Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar, but he still has some way to go.

i agree shahrukh khan is better his had more hits & won more awards.

SRK is definately the best but is now occasionally hamming it up in EVERY single one of his movies!! He hasn't forgotten how to act, but is remaining the same stable self - look at his second half performances in Asoka and Devdas. He does havethe balls to go where no commercial actor would go (something like a young Amitabh) and is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

However even in his best movies he has to ham it up during one scene, which could be a disturbing trend.

Will SRK remain the best ever?? He is indeed the best working actor right now, and is one of the most daring,but lets see if he can keep his charisma during his later years like the Big B.

as for Aamir, he's great and dependable and is one hell of an actor- however he doesn't have as much range as SRK. He can be angry and he can be funny, but he can't be scary, he can't really do action (SRK did action in Baazigar convincingly and in some parts of Asoka), and Aamir certainly can't be a downright psychopath or a downright idiotic comedian (ala Baadshah or Shakti).

And its really scary how SRK is following Dilip Kumar.....

i heard in real life shahrukh & dilip kumar are like father & son. they have a good relationship. dilip having no children of his, has raised shahrukh as his own has grown shahrukh as his own since he lost his at a young age.

i think shahrukh khan is better. as he has come far. i mean when he started acting he was told to be very ugly, dark & never stood a chance.the director of deewana said to him "u wanna be an actor have u seen urself? u dont stand a chance!". which is quite rude to be honest & shahrukh khan has proved himself that he can be king. also with amir khan, his not very good his been there for long.... he was good in the begining. also if u ask me amir khans movie always contain a kiss scene so somthing... look at ishq, raja hindustani... etc...
shahrukh's are suitable for all.

SHAHRUKH KHAN without a doubt!! maybe aamir acts well but he has to do more movies to prove it. Otherwise SRK RULES

after making movies for long amir khan has had a hit after so long with lagaan before that all where flops after raja hindustan

IMHO: :D

I think both have their strengths & weakness

Because Shah Ruk Khan does more films he tends to be more repetitive so his weaknesses stands out. The films which are Hits tends to be with the established directors, so his performance tend be enhanced by good script, direction and resources (money :cool: )

Amir khan plays it safe and does few films, but he does put all his concentration on that film, so his acting is more appreciated and stands out, and his films are eagerly awaited. I think Amir khan has had a hit each since his QSQT. (I could be wrong). He tends to make films with directors who he feels comfortable with & offer him more control (artistically and other)

So both play the game differently and are successful

I tend to favour Amir Khans acting more than Shah Ruk Khans (maybe I see more of it).

As a performer, hands down Aamir Khan.
However, this isn't to say Shah Rukh Khan is bad, I like his acting too.

By the way, Aamir Khan is more of the one displaying the Dilip Kumar method of acting. There both first-rate performers and they both did one or at most two films a year and sometimes even one film every two years. Plus, both actors grabbed roles which only defy versatility and quality.

Shah Rukh Khan is way better
He makes more movies and is a better actor than him
Aamir has had Lagaan since then nothing before that he had the shitty Mela
Shah Rukhs latest films Devdas,K3G,Shakti, have been good

Amir Khan is 1000 times better then SRK .

amir khan is better then srk .
lets decide it on the number of hits and flops of both the actors .

SRK has got a bunch of flop movies and only few hits while in the case of amir all are big hits only few are flops like mela

If you think SRKs movies are suitable for all, I think you should try watching the uncut version of Maya Memsaab with your entire family :rolleyes:

My vote goes to Aamir Khan - I did use to like SRK a long long long time ago - but that was before he became dependent on Yash Chopra's clan to give him 'feel-good romantic' movies.

As for Raja Hindustani being his last hit before Lagaan, let me correct you. Ishq, Ghulam and Sarfarosh came after Raja Hindustani, and were all hits.
