just seen Kaante trailer advertised on Terrestrial telly (ITV for u guys in da UK) and it will be releasing defo tomorrow with english subtitiles!!

Shut up! U must be joking! If what you say is true this must be the 1st ever Bollywood film to be advertised on terestrial TV. Talk about the hype. Imagine if K3G was advertised like this, how much more successful it would have been.

Anyway, I know of only 1 person who saw Kaante. He has mixed opinions but says overall it's a disappointment. Says the film is very 'fake' and there's aparently alot of 'Posing' in the film, which is overdone to the point of looking rediculous. Well I could tell all that from the trailers and remember this is Bollywood so what do you expect. I still have to see it myself to form an opinion.

Didn't you say it was ITV that showed the ad? C4 usually shows Bollywood films and BBC2 has shown a few edited versions. ITV so far I think has only shown one Bollywood film - (Daag - The Fire) a few years back. I think they did it as an experiment to test audience figures.

OT - when Dil To Paagal Hai was released there was a load of buses in London which featured SRK, Madhuri and KK printed over the back of them! That was probably the best Bollywood advert that I have seen!

i think KAANTE international success will be hampered by the delay in its release after all if it had come out way back in May it might just have had a chance although thats a tall order what with SPIDERMAN & SW2ATOC and now its up aganist the likes of HP2 DIE ANOTHER DAY and of course the biggest of the year LOTR 2 i think KAANTE has got no chance of any international box office bonanza not while these 3 top films are playing during the holiday season !!!

Well it has gone straight to no 7 in the UK charts, and going on screen averages, then it is at no 2, below lord of the rings 2, so it even beats hp2, and die another day!!!!

Thorns!

Kaate (without the N) would be ‘it bites’

Quite surprising that Kaante made it to no.7 in UK Top Ten! I think it's the first Indian film to make in into the Top Ten that is strictly non-lovey-dovey!

Although you are probably right (technically you definately are) but with these bollywood guys you never know. More often than not they spell the words not based on correct spelling but rather on what their idiot astrologer (or should I say numerologist) has suggested. You really have to see some of the spellings that the shows on tv have, specialy the ones produced by Jeetender's daughter.
