Arsh, Bees Saal Baad is 100% Progressive. As you know, the movie has haunting music. Audio on the DVD is not bad. Actually its pretty good. I have no idea, why there were some comments on zulm for bad audio. If someone points to what to look for, I may find a flaw. The only thing I noticed, in whatever segments I saw, was that the audio had extremely low levels of crackling, like old time LPs had static problem audible in high end audio systems. Actually this low level crackling, in quite suspense segments, adds to the suspense.

The same goes for video. Recall, the movie is supposed to be a horror movie and many a scenes are lit with a single candle/ diya. Also, many a scenes were shot on new Moon night in jungle. These shots were supposed to be dark.

Wow. Thanks. Can anyone tell me what the story is about - is it anything remotely close to some of the other movies by the same director?

I think DEI did a superb job with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, 2 disc edition, especially the sound. Its a good (Indian) tester disc for you system.
