Is this what you guys are talking about? Yes, a movie called Jinnah, made in response to Gandhi, was actually made. It seems horridly pathetic honestly, especially by reading these huge praising comments (Cuts Gandhi down to size? Talking about a great human? WTH?). Jinnah was a despicable figure who loved to discriminate people on the basis of religion... honestly, I can't help think that Bharat would be in better shape if it was still one instead of separated. Explanations on Bharat

Rishi I passed the comments abt Jinnah the Movie and not Jinnah the individual.... Being an Indian I am not into the crap that our politicians have told us abt Jinnah... Jinnah was infact a great person... till say 1920 where he felt sidelined by Gandhi and backed out of the spotlight , only to reappear as Jinnah the leader and proponent for Pakistan...and as for dividing ppl on religion... pls read his comments when he addressed the constituent assembly of the future pakistani state.

The Jihadis u see today (in Pakistan) are not and should not be compared with Jinnah... he was a great person in his own right !

and pls just shrug away the comments made by you-know-whom abt Gandhi vis-a-vis Jinnah :)... As anyone in da world and they should have read abt Gandhi or his teachings etc. (me not liking them is a totally different story).. But there is a select few who know abt Jinnah... .. I would suggest u read the book abt Jinnah written by Stanley Wolpert

My comments were directed towards Jinnah the movie which was pathetic at best. We had the Pak students association here advertising the movie to be screened on Pak's independance day last year... and out of curioisty I went there along with a few of my Indian friends..and honestly folks... the movie was screened to at most 10 ppl... which included us... the rest being the PSA executive .

This so called Paki Gadar.. is destined to fail... cos no cinema hall in North America will screen this movie like they did for Devdas... or like they do for any Bollywood or Indian Lang. movie... so it can be safely stated that this movie will flop.

And Mr Khiladi you missed out all the action from Last year... GADAR being anti-muslim or anti-Pakistani... as for Sarfarosh.. I would say it is a very sauve and crisp thriller abt Pak based extremists... without the usual rhetoric... I always expected a sequel of that film to come out !

Shaan will be slowed down by the cow, errr heroine he'll have to carry across the train. Pakistani movies could be good, but they really cater to the lowest common denominator now. Bandish, Heer Ranjha, and some of those Waheed Murad flicks were not bad at all. But Choodiyan was your typical revenge dramba, albeit with some good songs. While making the border crossing back to Pakistan, the hero will also be carrying a box of VCDs, CDs and Shermaroo DVDs that will be pirated and sold through pakwebstore.com

(tongue firmly in cheek)
