It's about freakin' time. Aamir Khan got married way to early. He should have went the way of Salman Khan and have a taste of some of Bollywood's top starlets. Preity is such a jezebel...i can't believe she's going after a married man like Aamir.

As for the choice Aamir has made.... Make a decision for yourselfs :) Which one amongst the beauties is he gonna choose
(ex) Gharwali in the Left Corner
Baharwali in the Right Corner

:D :D :D : D

... As for what BludHound has said... in retrospect, Salman's idea is indeed the best.. Get a "taste" of all the heorines and stay with none... (the female equiv would be Rekha ! )

Ok, I can't tell if you all are being satirical or not, but honestly, talking about someone's divorce like that is weird. Who cares what Preity Zinta has to do with the whole matter, it's their lives. And Aamir being married to someone for 16 years is commendable. You all realizes he has two young children. Maybe you should be talking about how it's going to be hard for them rather than giving high fives over the idea of Aamir now being some kinda free man with Bollywood starlets. I totally respect the guy, though; don't get me wrong. He's my favorite Hindi actor, and from what I've seen of interviews and such, he sounds like an intelligent, witty guy, but I don't need to be analyzing his family issues.

Khiladi ..Isey kehte hai...Dhakke Pe Dhakka
Aagey Bhi Dhakka.. Peechey Bhi Dhakka

As for Holden... Let us point this out.. Aamir won his popularity through public opinion and has CHOSEN to go for something "fresh", under the very eyes of the public ( so now he should also be ready to face the consequences of his indiscretions in the eyes of the Public... as he is a Public figure )
... I very much support Reena in this endeavour and lets see if Aamir Hooks up with Priety ... Then believe me, the exhalted position he has in the eyes of the movie going public back home in India, will eventually disappear...

I gave the example of Azharuddin... In his case, no one consoled him with a word of sympathy... It was was his ex-wife Naureen who won all the sympathies !

Lets see what happens now... :) But I still wonder what made Aamir go towards Priety ? She is a shorty and has "pimples" :D (Ajeeb hai is duniya ke dastoor)....

Mohd Azharuddin is such a disgrace he can't even show his face at events anymore. In UK a few months back he didn't show up at a ceremony honouring the greatest Indian Cricket players of all time (still living) but I don't think he'd be welcomed by the public, so it would be better if he didn't turn up.

Mohd. Azharuddin is most certaily not a disgrace. In fact it is the nation that should feel ashamed for treating someone who gave 17 yrs of their life to the nation, so poorly. Not a single accusation has so far been proved against Azharuddin nor any charges filed against him, yet he has already been convicted by some in the public, media and by the Cricket Control Board of India. I wonder whatever happened to the adage 'Innocent until proven guilty'. The whole thing is scary actually considering if such a thing can happen to someone like Azharuddin, who is not only one of the most succesful Indian batsmen ever but is also the most successful Indian captain ever with the most Test and One Day wins to his credit.
As for the whole 'Wisden, London' episode, it was not Azharuddin who did not show up, but rather the stupid organizers, who, under political influence withdrew their invitation to Azharuddin. Please get your facts correct before you malign someone.

PS: Keeping in mind that Azharuddin is the most succesful Indian captain, and also as a batsmen he has one of the finest records from India or for that matter in the world, now if this was done while he was taking bribes to perform poorly. Then imagine how great a player he must be, and what his record would have been if he were not playing to lose.

Personally I fail to understand how some of you can make fun at the expense of other people's misfortune. Divorce is not something to be made fun of, specially considering that there are two young children involved.

Sanjay no one is making fun of the children... Did u ever notice any mention of them in this affair ? If fact my ire (and I guess others also here) is directed towards Aamir and his inability to keep his trap (pun intended) shut .... I think he got a taste of Hollywood when he came to Los Angeles :D

Sanjay i think we all know that there's a more serious side to all this. Ofcourse what matters most is the children involved. i think this whole thing about Preity being involved is a joke. I'm sure there are other personal issues that caused this to happen.

just take the lighter side of things man, we are not making fun of this whole thing. take a chill pill & relax.. :D :p

Indeed Azhar was a good captain and one of the best players, but like you mentioned he has been convicted by public, media & CCBI. Well don't you think that's enough to make him feel uncomfortable to turn up to events? Knowing what people think of him? Not just the Wisden programme, but I haven't seen the guy on TV at all since the scandal. He doesn't go anywhere. And he also bought religion into the picture, which as we know does not go down well with Indians (saying that he's being victimsed because he was a muslim)...well did he not see Kapil Dev get the same treatment? The thing is it's a terrible thing to the Cricket fans when their well-respected players can be involved in bribes, and wether or not he is guilty, he's not doing much good for his rep.

Anyway back to the MAIN Topic, yep I think it's sad what has happened with Aamir Khan and his wife, but one thing I've noticed is that many men who do have affairs with younger women do so as their wife has lost their physical beauty they one had, when young. After women have kids they do tend to age more quicker than men, actually that is true anyways, which is why most men marry women a few years younger than them. I don't know the age difference between Aamir and his wife, but judging from the picture, she looks alot older. She was actually his next door neighbor, which he had always dreamt about marrying (as a kid) so it's sad that this 'perfect fantasy-come-true' marriage ended like this. I do think his career may suffer slightly, because I've already heard some people bad-talking him over this. Also she had a hand in his carrer and was behind him all the way.

By the way, Salman Khan is not a guy to look up to & personally I don't think all the women he had affairs with were that great looking (Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, etc) apart from Aish Rai...and look at what this has done to him, he's a wrek! Akshay Kumar is better to look up to as he's had the most number of affairs with women both in & out of the industry and he still got married to within a 'filmi-family' and now has a son to carry on. :D
