Finally the news has come that Kaante has been able to obtain the censor certificate. After being subsequently delayed, most recently from the 6th to the 13th, the film's major problem would be obtaining a censor certificate without getting vital scenes cut.

Now, it has been release that the film has gotten an ´A´ (adult) certificate (after some foul words were deleted). What this means is that the collections will be affected especially in the A class theaters of the Metros, as this adult certification is strictly implemented there.

A section of the media still believes that Kaante will make it only on the 20th and not the 13th.

Still on Kaante, it is now out that the delay in the arrival of the prints was because of monetary reasons and the compromise formula worked out is that the overseas rights of the movie have been given to L.A. based producer Raju Patel. Looks like Kaante has remained a massive film despite all the negative things surrounding it.

Ha ha ha. You must be kidding. Just a few weeks ago I saw Road at one of the premier theaters in Delhi and there were atleast 20 people (kids) who should not have been in the theater if there was any enforcement of censor rules.

didn't the same thing happen with Awaara Pagal Deewana? it got a adult rating & kids were still watching it. most bollywood commercial movies dont need these so called "ratings" its a waste of time.
