in no paticular order here are my choice of the top 10 movies this year so far..

Aankhen
Awaara Pagal Deewana
Pitaah
Chhal
Lal Salaam
Company
Humraaz
Devdas
Raaz
Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai

others worth mentioning:
Kya Yehi Pyar Hai {good story badly directed}
Na Tum Jaano Na Hum { different love story, bad direction}
Om Jai Jagadish {watch it for anil kapoor & a improved abhishek}
Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam {watch it for SRK & Madhuri}
Dil Vil Pyar Vyar {for the songs}
Sur { music & gauri karnik}
Hathyar {worth a look if you liked vastaav}

haven't seen Shakti, Road & Bhagat Singh with Ajay Devgan.

I'm sure i've missed out some other good movies, will add it when i think of it.

Wow! I can't even think of 10 good films I've seen this year. The only good (or OK-ish) films I've seen are:

Legend of Bhagat Singh (Film of the year)
Company (excellent & stylish)
Devdas (good but can't touch B.Roy's version)
Aankhen (very good & different)
K3G (I saw it in January - quite good, could be better)
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (somehow different & fun)
The Warrior (Unique and very good)

Most other films I've seen this year have either been bad or dreadful!

Trying to find 10 movies this year, that I even found tolerable, is quite a task actually. Unlike last year, when limiting myself to 10 films was a hard thing to do, this year just the task of finding 10 names to list is really tough. Actually I am sure that there aren't ten names worth listing. But since the list is the top ten and not neccesarilly ten good films, I am going to make an attempt.

I am not yet decided on the order, therefore in no particular order:
1) Company
2) Devdas
3) Mitr (My Friend)
4) Humraaz
5) Legend OF Bhagat Singh
6) Deewangee
7) Aankhen
8) Road
9) Makdee / Sur
10) Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai

I've seen most of the Bollywood releases this year and overall its been a disappointing year and from my top 10, all the titles after #3 are very mediocre which again goes to show how this year has been:

1. Company
2. Devdas
3. Aankhen
4. The Legend Of Bhagat Singh
5. Shakti The Power
6. Agni Varsha
7. Sur
8. Hatyar
9. Om Jai Jagadish
10. Raaz

Actually, all the films after #6 were bad and I can't believe I have to choose between bad films to make a top 10 of the year list.

Why are some people listing last year releases in their top ten for this year? I don't think which year one saw the film should be the criteria, rather it should be the year of release. Waht if I were to see Sholay for the first time, this year? Would that qualify for the list?
