Arsh, you didn't notice Kashmir Ki Kali for $ 5.99. I paid $ 25 for a previewed copy of this DVD a few months back. Some other EVP titles are at never heard of prices, for EVP titles, ( $5-6 range) as well. Aradhana and Abhimaan are for $ 4.99. MGMD for $ 8.99.

What is the pic quality and sound quality of dharam veer dvd like? Are EVP supposed to be a good company in terms of dvd authoring and media used etc? Anyone got any DV screenshots?
Thanks

Shuman, I bought Kashmir Ki Kali in Toronto. It was a rare title and had to beg the store to sell me his rental copy. Rare DVDs do cost more.

I don't mind paying extra and even now will pay $ 20 US for the original release that are only $ 5 or $ 6 in the new releases. The difference is that, as we all know, newer batches of EVP titles have all been turning out to be interlaced where as most of their titles were Progressive in their original releases. Watching them on Interlaced TVs you don't see any difference, but watching them progressively or on HDTV, there is a difference.

Rana, i wish you didn't have the KKK or else i could've sold mine to you :)

I have Amar Prem that is subtitleless. According to SK, that DVD should be progressive, but when i tried to take some screenshots using forceweave, i did see combing.. So what does that mean...

EVP DVDs are very inconsistent as far as Prog/ Interlaced is concerned. I am sure my copy of Amar Prem is Prog. Will check it again. EVP is so much inconsistent, that their Patthar Ke Sanam is correctly progressive (no combing) for half the movie and incorrect progressive (combing) for the remainder half. It's understandable. They don't know the difference.

One thing for sure; all EVP DVDs, so far, are Pseudo-progressive and a pixel to pixel comparing set up will create the original film frames back.
