According to pakwebstore.com 2in1 DEVDAS / HTHS contains the original print of print of EROS and well lets see what happens i have ordered these titles and when i will get these dvd's i will upload the screenshots if you ppl are interested in it .

When was your order shipped (or when will it be shipped)? Just curious.. as for me, my pyasa/ykhrh dvd was sent out today... so expect some screen shots sometime around the 16th-18th of this month. :p

According to Mr. Wali my order was also sent out today . so you ppl expect many screen shots by the end of this week espeially of Devdas / HTHS and other ones depends on your request . ???

So they cram both movies on one side of a disc? I hope it's not single-layered.

Both movies are on one side of the disc, but i don't know if it's single or dual layer. judging by the quality of each flick, it seems that both layers are used, with one layer going for each movie. the movies look like their original dvd counterparts.. i think both dvds are simply copied exactly on to one disc, menus and all.

im pretty sure all of em are dual layered...the devdas dvd (old+new) that i got..is more than 4.7 gb..its around 8-9gb

Yeah and these Pirates... they would have to remaster the already compressed movies so as to fit them on 1 DVD.

I would be very interested in knowing the bit-rates used for these movies... Assume you have the original movie on a single DVD ( aka RAAZ) and the same movie on a 2 by 1 combo... What would be the bit rates of both the movies ?.. You can take observations at particular instances on both films

as arsh had requested:

bitrate for the 2-in-1 of MDK/NTJNH
- mdk: ~3.46 mb/sec
- ntjnh: ~3.40 mb/sec

bitrate for raaz/kasoor combo
- raaz: ~2.3 mb/sec
- kasoor: ~3.33 mb/sec

All these are average bitrates. I've seen them as low as about 1.5 mb/sec to as high as around 6 mb/sec.

NTJNH..orig EROS dvd!! BIt rate, ranges from 4.4..lowest to 6.3 some thing, on avaerage it stays around 5!! most of time!!

MDK!! now here is the deal..MDK..bit rate, minimal is 5.8 and max is 8.3 or more!!!! so!!? what u say!

SQUEEZING TWO on one!! thats the SACRIFICE! and I bet!! they r SINGLE LAYER discs!! :baaa:

I saw hundreds of titles of 2 in 1 DVDs on the shelves in Toronto stores.

The following titles were also mentioned in this thread earlier on.
DDLJ / PARDES
MOHABATEIN / K3G
DEEWAR / TRISHUL

We know that these original DVDs were progressive encoded. Arsh mentioned that 2 in 1 DVDs have lower bit rates than originals. So it looks like these are re-authored copies of the original DVDs or re-authored from film. No matter what the source, are they at least still progressive the way the film DVD should be??

I just wish that pirates get hold of the actual film and then make Hollywood standard DVDs. Indian rightholders are not willing to that, so pirates are our only hope.

I still WONDER, how can they FIT 6hrs material on SINGLE SIDED..DVDR! as SINGLE LAYER??? :baaa: :bangbang: :angry:

BTW!! rana!! I think, these GUYS, like LEGEND and CHEBJI, are taking shots on powerdvd, so they should be able to answer ur questions???

Prog or not?? :baaa:
