Just received an Eros copy of Mann from IW. It clearly states on the cover that it should be anamorphic widescreen 2:35:1 and a 5:1 soundtrack and i was disgusted to see it was not only non-anamorphic but also a cropped letterbox with really poor picture (bleeding colours) and also a 2.0 soundtrack. And at the start it says it's a Yash Raj film?
Why does IW sell this shit when everyone praise them here on this forum?
The Aa Ab Laut Chalen dvd was the most laughable release i've ever seen. The shitpackers name is Asian and seems to be from Ontario, Canada. The copy is an unbeliavable scratchy and jumpy one. Easily the worst dvd release i've ever seen. Any old letterbox Eros crap release looks loke heaven compared to this one.
How's it possible that a pretty good film with superstar Aishwarya could be released by assholes like these?
Does anyone know which shitheaps to avoid besides these "Asian" dudes. Are there other manufacturers out there as bad as these? There should be a black list with companys that must be avoided at all cost

I am surprised about Mann. My copy of Mann is 2.35:1, anamorphic and DD5.1. Looks like you got wrong copy. I say wrong copy, because I too got one EROS (HDJPK or Dhadkan) DVD like this that was non-anamorphic and 33% stretched. Luckily I was able to exchange it for another DVD. I bought the same movie DVD again, which turned out OK.

BTW, I am not commenting on print quality, but just the tech specs.

Aa Ab Laut Chalein, I would like to buy one day, when I find out of any acceptable print.

Actually it's not just them that are retarded, but at the risk of offending quite a few here, let me state that it is actually the people from this sub continent that are retarded. Well atleast the overall majority is. Therefore to expect the DVD manufacturers to be any better would be simply foolish.

You know what the saddest part about the 'Aa Ab Laut Chalein' DVD is, that there is a pirated version which is by far superior to the original. The pirated version even has a Dolby Pro Logic track which is quite decent.

PS: The original theatrical release of the film was also only in Dolby Stereo.

I believe it is the same version that I have because the print is really good but the cover does not state anything company wise. Will check when I get home later...the cover has a pic of akshay with Aish...

That is the DVD that is from Asian, if you look at the bottom left corner next to the United Logo it says ASIAN. This is the one that has crappy video that HumAapkeHainKoun was talking about:

The pirate that I have is probably the one that Sanjay was talking about because the print is clean with good video and audio:
