This dirty b***** didn't even bother helping his victims when he crushed them. I bet he's gonna blame this on Aishwarya's rejection. He'll probably get off, knowing India's corrupt justics system. Remeber he got off killing those endangered deers a few years back, if that was not someone famous they would've gone down. He'll start coming out now with "Oh i'm gonna get more into my faith, and give up alcohol, and pray for my victims", since he can't undo what was done.

Nobody wanted to know who the dead man was, but everybody outside the Bandra police station in northwest Mumbai wanted to know the fate of Salman Khan.

Early on Saturday morning, the Bollywood star had allegedly run over four people killing Nuru alias Behra and injuring three others, two of them seriously.

"Nuru was very upset with life since his wife had left him to marry another man," recalled Mohammad Muslim who was sleeping next to Nuru on the Bandra pavement when the Landcruiser drove over them.

"Just last night he told me how he was passing through a difficult time and how upset he was with life," Muslim said as he lay in the Bhabha hospital with a fractured leg. Alongside lay another of those injured, Abdullah Rauf Shaikh.

"I saw Salman coming out of the car after the accident," Muslim alleged. "He did not have the courtesy to take us to hospital even though we were crying out in pain. He ran away when people (near the accident site) started beating him up and the other man in the car, (singer) Kamal Khan."

Because I saw Salman getting support all the time by the public, even appearing for stage performances alot, I always thought the people of India kissed his arse.
I'm glad I saw the following, it seems that they don't like him either.

I think this guy needs serious medical attention......... what else can explain all these incidents?
I am sure he will be released without any charge as the indian system is so corrupt...... he will prolly give some money to the victim's families and everything will be forgotten...... it just sucks.........

Muslim alleged that the star's younger brother, actor Arbaaz Khan, arrived soon after the accident to remove the CD player from the vehicle, but he too did not bother to find out who was injured.

"We were crying out in pain, but Salman's brother asked who had dared hit his brother. After the crowd chased him he too ran away," Muslim said.

If he hadn't killed and injured anyone, perhaps he would get off scot-free. Perhaps Salman will get off the hook using lawyers, but even so, this could be a major blow to his career. He killed someone, after all. I bet the "Marigold" producers will cast someone else or back out of the project altogether after hearing about this.

You have got to be kidding. Since when has the Bombay film industry and for that matter the Indian audience given a damn about a star's moralities and/or the lack of it. Since when has the actions of a star made any difference to their popularity in India. Look at Sunjay Dutt, in his case he became all the more popular after his deeds or should I say misdeeds became known. Indians in general don't give a damn as to how one gains their power, wealth and success all they care about is the success of the person. This fact is so shamelessly clear not only from our movie industry but in all other facets of our society, be it politics (the list is never ending) or for that matter business (Gulshan Kumar is a perfect example). India and Indians in general, I am ashamed to say, worship success like no other society. The means used to get to that success is totally irrelevant to the average Indian and that is why we have muderers, rapists, theives & dacoits, all at the very top of the Indian social, political & economic ladder.

The Bombay police has confirmed that Salman Khan does not possess a driving license. The case against the actor can now become stronger with section 304 of the IPC being invoked to book him for murder. The maximum imprisonment under this section is life imprisonment or 10 years.

The Assistant Police Commissioner of the Bandra Division has confirmed the above fact.

I read many stories about salman khan outside filmi duniyas....mostly its all bad news, mainly dealing with ashwariya rai :) ....she must be jumping up and down when she heard the news about him...i strongly believe he should go to jail and spend rest of his life there....he commited a big crime and he should pay for it...i would say he better stay in jail or otherwise there are lot of people out there who is very furious at this point....you know they will strike back...and there is hindu/muslim tension going on and they might take advantage on this and might cause a riot....u never know what ugly thoughts cooking in their head....well i guess all we can do is wait and see if justice is really served...anyone know when his court date is???? no i am not going to attend it but just curious if he has any :) ....

Mumbai police also confirmed earlier that Salman Khan was intoxicated (drunk) while driving and this is inspite of the almost 12 hr delay in getting his blood test done for alchohol content. The report stated that the 'achohol level' in the blood was way beyond permissable limits. OFcourse the police also have a track of Salman's activities prior to the accident that night, all which suggest that he had been drinking heavily.

And this guy has the nerve to actually state that he had not been drinking that night. By the way his police security guard also stated that he had warned Salman several times earlier against driving drunk.

BNJBOND,

I knew Salman Khan's fans would blame it all on Aishwariya. wait and see how the magazines blow it out of proportion...they'll make it look official.

However there are some sane people in India who want Salman to pay as can be seen here: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/view ... 80992#top1
They're all talking about boycotting his films, that would be great if put into action. just imagine, a world with no Salman Khan, wouldn't it be great!

Master_J,
I'm unsure of how it would lead to Hindu/Muslim tension? All those Salman killed or injured were muslims.

It's probably the most serious crime a bollywood star is guilty of (apart from Sanjay Dutt's misdeeds). Here is a link to 'bollywood criminals' and what their exploits were, surprisingly all the Khans are there, apart from goody-goody Aamir who sticks to the straight and narrow path always! Bless him.

The sad part is, that most probably Salman will still get off scott free. That is true facts of life in India. Already the grounds for him being let off our being laid. The police are now reporting the vehicle from the accident did not even belong to Salman and that they are now searching for the owner.
