if u read my post carefully it said that those that are done by indians are region free those titles u mention are not done by indians but by desi's !! i.e columbia tristar etc

Just out of curiosity, do any of you guys think EROS could be getting an outside company to authorize this DVD instead of EROS Multimedia? (say..Vivindi Films??)

Right, but the reason I cited those films is because they were released on a similar international scale.

Back when I had reported that IW had a DEVDAS page, I also mistakenly ordered the old version (it was late at night, and I had forgotten about the older version), so I had to have them cancel it, and at the time, I suggested that they have future releases listed with something like "Coming Soon" instead of an ordering button.

Evidently, they listened to my suggestion, and they now have future releases listed with "Coming Soon" instead of an ordering Button.

Devdas is listed as "DVD Release On 10/5/2002 - Click Here To Get Notified", and then you can enter your email address when you click there.

How come Cdguru.com has the Devdas release for Oct.10th while every other site has it for the 5th plus the Shakti DVD is up on nehaflix.com but is being said to release on Oct.3rd everywhere else.

at this rate i think channel 4 in the UK might show devdas before eros has it out on dvd !!1

yaar i think i am gonna wait for the UK version of the dvd
as I prefer the Pal version cos it's (they are said to be) clearer
and also if they do different region versions ie like lagaan then i will wanna buy the best one

count ur blessing if those fuckers EROS do a decent NTSC version of DEVDAS let alone a pal !!

it will be amazing if they even get the dvd out in time with so many different dates being quoted on varioue online stores EROS are the masters at fucking release dates around they haven't even got the balls to reply to email from their website!!

its a wonder how these fucked up idiots stay in business !!
