5 hours of entertainment wise packaging...

3 hrs movie
2 hrs extras and bonus video (scenes/songs from movies) of the actor/actresses.

I just the commercial on B4U :)

I have a feeling the extras are the exact the same as the curtain raiser. Only bonus will be seeing the unseen scenes.

If 2 hrs extra make a dVD CLASSIC and SUPERB..then all YRF SHITTY classics are INCREDIBLE!

LAGAAN..kinda barebone..DVD should be SHIT! ???

SECONDALLY! PB/INDOLINK are the same GUYS who called DDLJ coming out after AGES, an UNBEATABLE classic with # disc set! and WRONG DATE(already released, 2 months in advance, per RAKESH BUDHOO)!!

Look at DVD reviews at RADIOSARGAM..they labelled MYKSH 4**** dvd never for a moment talked abt, VIDEO/AUDIO, TECH specs, just, film, songs extras!! so!! These r the kinda people u r dealing with!!

I hope MERE MOUN MAEN KHAAK!! ho ! aur EROS kuch karke DIKHADE! MOUJAZA!!!(WONDER) :baaa: :stupid: :bangbang: :angry: :thumbs:

apart from the deleted clips the rest of the dvd extras are taken from the curtain raiser and also from the many promos snipets from the B4U music channel !!!

i think for the most of us the film quality & the extra footage not included on general release will more than make up for a good DEVDAS dvd !!!

i stress that the quality of transfer to dvd of the movie with or without added scene's should be of the quality that the DEI's version of KNPH !!!

anything less and EROS has failed !!!

Sorry could not help but laugh! ERO$ can never come out with a disc comparable to KNPH no matter how hard they try! It just wont happen. But for ERO$'s sake and like Arsh Bhai said, "I hope MERE MOUN MAEN KHAAK!! ho ! aur EROS kuch karke DIKHADE!"

i guess what i wrote was confusing
my reply was to the piece from planetbollywood.com
they are saying how eros has promised to make this dvd an excellent one
so i was being sarcastic, in saying that to EROS quality dvd means that they should include all the extras they can find with the movie or on the extra disc, and they (EROS) did not have to change anything about how they present the video
i was not implying that the extras make any dvd look excellent, all i wanted to say was that eros are thinking that
i am expecting to see the same bad quality dvd for DEVDAS as the rest of the dvd's by eros :bangbang:

Guys according to EROS, the anamorphic version of TAAL was their best effort till todate ! So what else can you expect from EROS !

Devdas" Official DVD for September 27th

In the past where Indian DVD´s have been extremely dissapointing EROS International is taking the final step in releasing an excellent DVD for this year´s biggest success Devdas.

DVD´s for recent big films have been quite dissapointing and no one is aware of this more than EROS. In fact, given the success of the film the company has taken the extra step to bring out an excellent DVD.

The two-disc DVD set will feature subtitles in a variety of languages. It will feature unseen scenes, and much more. The extra DVD will feature all of the media occurences regarding Devdas. This includes the premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, N.Y., etc. Interviews with all of the stars including the team. In addittion it will also feature "The Best Scenes" from films featuring the main lead, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri and Aishwarya Rai.

The DVD will be officially released on September 27th.


AH! whos right?!!!!!


o yea, from what i hear, they had shown a promo for the dvd on b4us first cut today and it will contain the whole ishq kamina song.

if the sites are know all saying 10th oct. there has to be reason - IT COMES ON THE 10TH!!

pankha bhaiya!! i was actually, agreeing to ur verdict! that eros, etc criteria for good dvd are ALL BULL SHIT!!! PERIOD!!


These guys at PB, INDOLINK, RADIOSRAGAM etc are not credible, resources on Dvd issues and Quality!!

Damn it, how hard is it for Eros to give a date on the dvd? I'm getting a hundred different dates for this stupid dvd. Either you release it now, or you tell us when you'll release it. Don't announce it early and keep everyone waiting. Stupid Eros...

To make things harder, the decision was made to release a video first (as if the Curtain Raiser wasn't enough) possibly three to four weeks prior to the dvd release. I don't know how long it takes to release a dvd, as I am not in the industry, but all I can say is it would most definitely benefit your image if you could announce a date (whenever it be) and keep the date.
