In a word: Price.

IndiaPlaza : $29.99 for pre-order

Indiancdstore : $18.99 for pre-order

Indiaweekly has comparable prices to Indiancdstore, but evidently does not have pre-orders. They also have a low price guarantee, which with a little prodding they will honor, and upon request they ship priority mail items out same day at a post office in New York which has very good "connectivity" to the post office network.

Indiancdstore is in Oregon, and also has good prices and service, perhaps quicker delivery for USA West Coast residents who want to use standard mail for lower postage cost.

PS Trailors for all movies, English and Hindi, are very easy to find on the Internet, since they are ADVERTISEMENTS. Also, AVS TV show in the USA shows trailors of virtually all new major Hindi films.

Hey i checked indiaplaza.com and they have Sept.27th as the date when they'll start shipping--so could that be the release date? Or maybe they'll start shipping one wk. after the 20th...this is soooo getting on my nerves! Can't they just set one date so that everyone has the same release date?

I had already done this many times and noted that it was the older Devdas film.

This time, it was a combination of tired late-night web surfing, plus wishful thinking. :D
