WHO PLAYS GHOST IN RAMU'S 'BHOOT'?

Renowned director Ram Gopal Varma announced the title of his next movie, but without naming the lead character. The main character is still unknown though the shooting of the movie has commenced. Abhishek was supposed to be the major character of Ramu's new movie, 'Bhoot'. However, Ajay Devgan opposite Urmila Matondkar replaced Abhishek, the hot favourites of Ramu. Ajay Devgan and Urmila Matondkar were seen shooting in Mumbai recently. As reported earlier, Ramu has added Nana Patekar and Fardeen Khan to his character list for playing important roles in 'Bhoot'. But who plays the role of Bhoot in the movie is still unclear. No body knows except Ramu (if he has made up his mind). Ramu is one director who gives roles according to the suitability of the actor, without caring for the fate of the movie at the box office.

According to sources close to director Ramu, the story of "Bhoot" is that of a house haunted by a ghost, and what happens in around the house. It is said that this story is a sequel to a Hollywood blockbuster "Ghost". Ajay Devgan plays the main role and Fardeen Khan occupies the second position. What role is meant for Nana Patekar is not clear yet. Knowing that Nana Patekar is an egoist, how will he adjust with the film director Ramu, another equally egoist, is anybody's guess.

You know what? I remember there was a remake of the hollywood film 'Ghost' starring Rahul Roy. I can't remember the name or director but maybe the directors can work togethr and make it a sequel (to the indian version) with references to the first film. It seems a bit weird of Varma to make a sequel to a hollywood film, without hollwodd ever making one themselves.

The movie was called Pyaar Ka Saaya, and starred Rahul Roy, Sheeba and Amrita Singh. It had a couple of decent songs (music by Nadeem Shravan before they started rehashing) and was directed by Vinod Verma. The producer, B. Subhash 'wrote' the story.

Hope this helps
