Forget the best hero actors and actress – every villain just steals scenes in Bollywood flicks – my best villain picks

1 – Amrish Puri – class all the way, you name it this guy has done and out preforms most others on the same scene; Mogambo (Mr India), Durjan Singh (Karan Arjun) and the unforgettable Mola Ram (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom)

2 - Amjad Khan – the man that lived the ultimate villain; Gabbar Singh (Sholay) but then never lived up that role – although he did some good villains after that in film like Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Satte Pe Satta and numerous other AB hit films!

3 - Danny Denzongpa – from karate kicking looney in Yudh (forgotten the character name!) to Kancha Cheena (Agneepath) to Bakhtawar (Hum) – Danny’s the man.

4 - Anupam Kher - Dr. Deng (Karma), and numerous others, spoiled it by doing too many comic roles recently.

5 – best of the rest/honourable mentions; Paresh Rawal and Gulshan Grover

Ajit- Another classic villain from the golden years. One of my favorites of his was in Zanjeer as (Teja).

Also, one of the best villain's descovered out of the 90s..
Ashutosh Rana- both fantastic villainous performances in Dushman & Sangharsh.

Female(s)
Urmila- gave superb performances in both Kaun? & Pyar Tuna Kya Kiya.
honorable mentions to Kajol in Gupt.

3) Helen in Teesri Manzil (1967)
5) Amitabh in Don (mean & nasty), besides that his only other Villain performance was in 1971's Parwana he was good in that one too.
6) Ashok Kumar in Jewel Thief (1967)
7) Pran in Ram Aur Shyam (1967)
Premnath in Johny mera naam (1971)
and even Dharmendra tried being a baddie in 1963's Ayee milan ki Bela.

and special mention to Shahrukh in Darr and Kajol in Gupt .. in Gupt i found the film losing its grip midway through but that last half hour when the suspense is revealed... the first time i thought it was beautifully executed....... and kajol did a fine job(as always being the fantastic actress that she is)

Pran, the quinntessential villian of indian cinema is my no. 1 choice. Honorable mention go to KN Singh and Premnath.
